When it comes to gaming headsets, HyperX might as well be a household name. Many may be familiar with the original HyperX Cloud 2 gaming headset, with the company now announcing a new wireless version of it. This updated version makes a few improvements and drops the cord.
The HyperX Cloud 2 wireless gaming headset releases on November 10 at the price of $149.99, and it includes the 53mm neodymium magnet drivers, the 7.1 surround sound, support for the 2.4 GHz frequency, a working distance of 20 meters.
Furthermore, the device promises the same comfort as the original Cloud 2, while packing new figures like a LED indicator when muted, built-in mic monitor, NGENUITY support, and more. When purchasing the new headset, it comes with a detachable mic, a removable boom filter, a USB transmitter, and a micro USB charger for the device. In other words, it sounds like a package.
It should also be noted that, while it has a release date of November 10, it’s uncertain if the HyperX will work with the PS5 or Xbox Series X. The box confirms support for the PC, PS4, and Switch, but the headphones do not have support for the Xbox One. As such, while PS5 seems likely, it’s less likely to support the Xbox Series X at launch.
