Fortnite‘s Fortnitemares 2020 Halloween event is officially underway, and it has added several new challenges to Epic Games’ extremely-popular battle royale title. One of these Fortnitemares 2020 challenges instructs players to travel 100 meters on a Witch Broom, and indeed some fans may be slightly confused about exactly how to complete that task. Fortunately, it is is very easy to travel by broom in Fortnite, and this guide contains all of the details that players might need.
The first step to completing this Fortnitemares 2020 challenge is to locate a Witch Broom, and these items can be found around the Witch Shacks that are now appearing across Fortnite‘s map. While players can certainly turn to any Witch Shack that they encounter, there is one situated just northwest of Salty Springs and another positioned to the northwest of Lazy Lake. Here is a map highlighting these two Witch Shack locations for those fans that prefer a visual reference:
Upon arriving at one of these Witch Shacks, players should look around the exterior of the structure. Specifically, fans are attempting to locate a wooden barrel filled with Witch Brooms, and they should smash the container with their Fortnite Harvesting Tool once one has been located. This will cause the Witch Brooms in the barrel to spill out onto the ground, and players can then interact with one to pick it up and proceed to the final stage of the challenge.
In this final stage, fans must fly 100 meters on the Witch Broom, and doing that is as simple as using the item from within inventory. Indeed, using a collected Witch Broom will send Fortnite fans soaring into the air, and they should feel free to ride the sweeper in their preferred direction. After riding the broom for a short while, fans will find that they have finished this Fortnitemares 2020 challenge, and they will receive a significant 40,000 XP as a reward for their efforts.
From there, players are free to move on to the other two Halloween challenges, which center around becoming a Shadow and eating Candy. Fans can also work on Fortnite‘s Season 4 Week 9 challenges, if they wish to, and these tasks will have them using Silver Surfer’s Board, landing at Sharky Shell, searching for Floating Rings, and much more. All in all, this means that there are currently a variety of ways for players to earn XP and make further progress on this season’s Battle Pass.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
