Arc System Works is one of the preeminent fighting game developers on the scene, producing games that feature incredible art and complex fighting systems. With Granblue Fantasy Versus, Arc System Works has taken an enjoyable RPG franchise and crafted an exciting fighting game out of it.
The company is also known for the support it gives its games. Seasonal DLC additions to the roster are a nice treat for fans. While it was teased a while back that Cagliostro would be joining the fray, she has finally arrived as part of the latest DLC.
Bringing the roster up to a total of 18 playable characters, Cagliostro’s addition to the game could shake up tier lists for Granblue‘s strongest characters. Her quirky moveset is sure to make her a character who is tough to master, but could prove to be a dangerous main. She may look cute, but underneath that exterior, is a girl ready for a fight.
Cagliostro, the alchemist who sought to achieve immortality and whose very form is conjured up by alchemy, is available now for download, setting players back $6.99 for her services. A trailer released in conjunction with her arrival to the game shows off a couple of her moves. Some quick teleports and the ability to manifest spikes from the earth below look to cause trouble for opponents.
While Granblue Fantasy Versus continues on with a pretty steady schedule of DLC, Arc System Works is hard at work on the next installment of Guilty Gear. After some COVID-related delays, it looks like Guilty Gear -Strive- will launch in April of 2021.
Fans who can’t wait for that game to drop can hop back into Granblue Fantasy Versus and manifest their inner alchemist with Cagliostro.
