The New Trailer for Animaniacs is Zany to the Max. | Game Rant

The Warner Bros and Sister are back to get zany to the max. Hulu has released the full trailer to their upcoming reboot of Animaniacs. This continuation of the classic cartoon sees the return of the main characters as well as the voice cast that made them unforgettable. Set within in the present-day, the Animaniacs, as well as Pinky & The Brain, emerge onto a new and unfamiliar culture, one that is dominated by social media and smartphones.

The news comes from YouTube and follows the teaser trailer that was revealed during Virtual New York Comic-Con. The new trailer showcases the absurd and wild adventures the Warner Bros and Warner Sister are bound to go on.  Yakko, Wakko, and Dot now find themselves in a very different world, compared to when the show ended. Now, finding themselves rebooted and bought out by Hulu, the team returns to cause mayhem and comedic chaos upon everyone they meet. The world of entertainment has drastically changed, and there is plenty of catching up to do. The Warner siblings face a world of endless possibilities, which include the internet, tablets, Instagram, flying pink ponies resembling a familiar cartoon with ponies,  and even anime. Joining them are fan favorites Pinky and The Brain, which sees the dynamic duo continue to set out every night to try and take over the world.

The trailer features the voice work of the original cast, who have reprised their roles. Rob Paulson returns as the leader of the bunch, Yakko Warner, as well as voicing the insane mouse, Pinky. Tress MacNeille returns as the witty and fierce sister of the bunch, Dot Warner. Jess Harnell is Wakko, the oftentimes repulsive sibling, and Maurice LaMarche voices the genius mouse himself, Brain. Steven Spielberg once again returns as executive producer for the new Animaniacs, just as he was in the original series. Animaniacs will run 13 episodes for its first season.

Seeing this trailer is a sight for sore eyes in this year of doom, 2020. As evidenced by the teaser trailer,  the animation is spot-on for this new series and the subtle updates are perfect for this returning cast of characters. Most importantly, based upon this new trailer, the new Animaniacs looks to have the same sharp teeth as its predecessor, poking fun at modern-day social norms and even the President of the United States. The original Animaniacs didn’t shy away of poking fun at the likes of Bill Clinton, Prince, and various historical figures. With their debut on Hulu, it is likely that the writers will have more flexibility and edge to the humor they want to create. We’ll have to wait and see if Animaniacs is nostalgia done right, akin to shows like Cobra Kai, but the evidence suggests it’s going to be a welcome return.

Animaniacs debut exclusively on Hulu on November 20th.
