Some cool rewards are coming to fans who own some classic Ubisoft titles, as the publisher announced it is unlocking all Ubisoft Club rewards for a long list of legacy games that are not migrating to Ubisoft Connect.
Earlier today, Ubisoft announced a re-branding of its Ubisoft Club program where players could earn small bonuses in participating games. Special costumes, unique weapons and bonus missions were just a few of the many unlocks players could find in the program, including some cross game content such as Ghost Recon outfits in The Division or Assassin’s Creed Origins outfits in the Switch version of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.
The list of games that have rewards unlocked include Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, and Assassin’s Creed: Origins in the Assassin’s Creed franchise and Far Cry 4, Far Cry 5, and Far Cry Primal in the Far Cry series. Upcoming games Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Far Cry 6 will be the first the new games under the Ubisoft Connect program.
Ubisoft Connect will merge the Uplay app and Ubisoft Club program into a more streamlined service that will offer several new key features to players. Previously, the Ubisoft Club Program underwent a significant changes in 2019, limiting the time players had to spend available points. Among the new content in Ubisoft Connect will be game specific social events, cross-platform benefits like transferring game saves, and personalized game tips to help players navigate through tough content.
The re-branding is a few weeks shy of Ubisoft’s next big release, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, with the publisher also releasing details on the game’s post-launch DLC. On top of free seasonal updates Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will receive 3 major DLC drops in 2021, starting with Wrath of the Druids DLC that takes players to Ireland.
Meanwhile Ubisoft’s other major franchise, Rainbow Six Siege, is officially coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 22. Players who subscribe to Game Pass and already own the game game can also take advantage of some bonus discounts on Rainbow Six Siege DLC, including the year 5 season pass that includes new operators and special in-game items.
Rainbow Six Siege is one of the many Ubisoft games that will come to next gen consoles in a fee upgrade program for current gen owners of the game. In addition to Siege, players who purchase Watch Dogs: Legion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Far Cry 6 on current gen consoles will also have a free upgrade path whenever they move to a next gen console. This includes the save file which will be supported through the Ubisoft Connect Program.
