Following the game’s release back in July of this year, Ghost of Tsushima has been getting some serious upgrades through various patches released over the last few months. The biggest easily came last week, however, when Sucker Punch brought both a New Game Plus feature and the highly-anticipated multiplayer Legends mode to the game in a massive update.
Yet, as with most major new updates, there’s always going to be some bugs that follow, and Ghost of Tsushima‘s 1.12 update was definitely not an exception to that rule. It seems Sucker Punch was quick to jump on the game’s new bugs though, releasing a small patch today that attempts to solve several issues afflicting both Legends and New Game Plus.
The newly released 1.13 update annihilates four of these issues while also eradicating a number of smaller bugs and required fixes. In terms of the larger changes, it tackles one bug that meant users continued to get network error pop-ups while playing Legends, while it also solves another that saw players get stuck in the co-op mode’s tutorial. It also adds support for PSN’s Players Met function, allowing users to browse through who they played with during recent multiplayer sessions. Finally, it also prevents an issue with New Game Plus that wouldn’t allow players to carry over the colorful “Ghost Transcendent” armor dye that’s unlocked upon acquiring Ghost of Tsushima’s platinum trophy.
It’s not a huge update, but for players currently enjoying Ghost of Tsushima Legends, it’s great to see Sucker Punch pushing to make the co-op experience as fun to play as possible. For those who didn’t catch the launch of the new multiplayer mode, it sees players dropped into an alternate version of Ghost of Tsushima’s world filled with monsters and demons rooted in Japanese folk tales and mythology. Players group into varying sized teams dependent on the mission type and assume one of four classes: Samurai, Hunter, Assassin, or Ronin. It’s been very successful so far, with a lot of fans celebrating Sucker Punch’s unique take on co-op play.
As for Ghost of Tsushima itself, the game has definitely been doing well since release. Critics and general audiences alike offered the game a lot of praise upon launch, with many claiming Sucker Punch’s world is one of the most compelling they’ve explored this year. Recently, rumors emerged that some major Ghost of Tsushima DLC or perhaps even a fully-fledged follow-up could even be in the very early stages of production, with a job listing for the company citing the need for a narrative writer who could pen stories set in Feudal Japan.
Ghost of Tsushima is available now for PS4.
