10 The Book Of Distance

The Book of Distance is a sad tale about Yonezo Okita. In 1935, Okita leaves his home in Japan and moves to Canada. He is then met with war-sanctioned racism that makes him the target of abuse. Okita’s grandson leads the player through an interactive story about his grandfather and immigration as a whole. This eye-opening experience uses multiple forms of storytelling to present an immersive story to the player and keep them interested.

9 Panoptic

Panoptic brings in an interesting experience for both the player in VR and the friend who watches them. The game takes the VR players and gives them the role of the overseer. As the overseer, the player in VR keeps a watchful eye on the tiny beings in the world. The player behind the keyboard takes the role of one of those tiny beings as they try to take down the overseer. It quickly becomes a game of cat and mouse where the tiny being must dismantle the overseer before the other player can take them out. It hasn’t been released for long, but Panoptic has very positive reviews across Steam so it may just be worth a try.

8 Falcon Age

Finally, a VR game that allows players to bond with an adorable falcon and fight to reclaim their cultural legacy. Falcon Age is a new release that puts players into the shoes of Ara. Automated colonizers have come in and decimated Ara’s colony. It is up to the player to help take it back and it starts in prison. While trapped in a cell, players will befriend a baby falcon who will help players fight the robotic colonizers. The player’s falcon can be pet, fed, and dressed up. What else? Well, players can hunt with their falcon as well.

7 Superfly

Enter a comic book for real now. Superfly puts players in the shoes of comic book heroes in an open-world environment where they can battle foes and traverse the city in different ways. Pick up the powers of web-slinging, robotics, wings, electricity, and more as you fight robots and save the city.

The city is procedurally generated so it can be limitless. Traversing it is a blast and the combat is great. There are countless vehicles and objects to interact with, plus players can take on missions to increase their hero experience.

6 DepthQVR_Aqua

Released on the eighth of October, DepthQVR_Aqua more of an experience than a game. It was designed for immersion and relaxation. It is not a long experience, but a worthwhile one. The game basically places players on an underwater roller coaster. It lasts about nine minutes and also brings some interesting encounters with dolphins and sharks. Currently, this experience is free to try and should be experienced before a price tag (if any) gets added. It is a relaxing trip that players will be glad they took.

5 Mysterica

Enjoy the magnificence of online magical PVP warfare. Mysterica was released back on the ninth and hasn’t received any reviews yet, but it offers players the chance to use sword and magic in PVP action. There is also the choice of offline battles if players aren’t up for fighting another player. Step into cyberspace where anything is possible. Draw magical symbols to blast away foes or draw a sword and slice them up. This battle arena game looks like it will be fun for many gamers.

4 Beach Ball Valley

This isn’t a relaxing day at the beach playing with a beach ball. Nope, Beach Ball Valley is a relaxing time in a valley with not just one beach ball, but dozens. Released back on the ninth of October, Beach Ball Valley allows players to take a relaxing trip into the great virtual world and surround themselves with colorful balls. This game wouldn’t be complete without pizza paddles though. That’s right, pizza paddles. Players can use them to smack the beach balls around and send them soaring across the landscape. If that isn’t your style, feel free to pop them.

3 VR Maze

Any fans of puzzle games out there? How about fans of mazes or labyrinths? If the answer was yes to either of those questions, then try out VR Maze. This game puts the player into a maze that is straight out of Jumanji. Massive walls block your vision to the exit, but that’s not all.

Players will need to keep their guard up because raptors, zombies, elephants, lions, and more, block the exit. These creatures will need to be avoided or killed to escape.

2 Powers VR

More powers are coming to VR in the form of Powers VR. This is another sandbox superhero game that lets players take the role of a superhero and fight dastardly villains. Players can compete in challenges with their favorite heroes. Some of these heroes include ones with super speed, flight, tech, and more. There are multiple heroes to unlock and collect. There are also secret collectibles and locations to discover for players who are willing to take on the mantle of hero and save the city of Metropolis.

1 BlockBusters VR

BlockBusters VR brings back the joy of Tetris in a new way. This time, instead of falling blocks, players place blocks wherever they want inside the game space. These blocks then need to make horizontal lines to disappear and earn the player points. What makes this game even better is that players can use a LAN connection to play with each other. When playing together, players each take turns placing blocks in the square and they can even share blocks across the board.
