Call of Duty: Warzone Players Discover Invisible Staircase

It’s no secret that Call of Duty: Warzone has its fair share of glitches. Sometimes these glitches can frustrate players, like the demon gun texture glitch that pops up every once in awhile, but others are amusing distractions. The latest glitch discovered in Call of Duty: Warzone falls in the latter camp, as fans of the popular battle royale game have discovered what seems to be an invisible staircase at Storage Town.

The Call of Duty: Warzone invisible staircase was shared by popular TikTok creator and Twitch streamer sallyisadog, who revealed its existence to his 1.3 million followers. To find the Call of Duty: Warzone invisible staircase, players simply need to head to the north side of Storage Town and hug the concrete wall that encompasses the actual storage units. If done properly, players will begin climbing up a seemingly invisible staircase.

Warzone players can climb the invisible staircase until they reach the height of a nearby tree, and can actually utilize the tree’s foliage as cover if they want. However, the staircase doesn’t go up too high before players will fall to the ground. Luckily, it’s not high enough for Warzone players to take fall damage, so fans can experiment with the invisible staircase with minimal risk.

Unlike some other Call of Duty: Warzone glitches, it doesn’t seem like players can really abuse this invisible staircase to give themselves a significant advantage over their competition. The staircase doesn’t go all that high, and while players can use the tree for some extra cover, it doesn’t seem like it will be a viable strategy in most situations. Still, players can do the glitch for laughs.

It’s unclear how long Warzone has had this invisible staircase, and it’s also unclear if there are other invisible staircases on the Warzone battle royale map. However, if anyone wants to find more, they may want to start hugging walls while they’re running around, as there could be even more waiting to be found.

Infinity Ward tends to release a new update for Call of Duty: Warzone on a weekly basis, with the game’s next update expected to come on Tuesday, October 27. It’s unlikely that this next update will be anything on the scale of the Haunting of Verdansk update that dropped last week, but it should at least change up some of the playlists as well as address lingering bugs in the game. Whether or not the invisible staircase near Storage Town will be one such bug remains to be seen, however.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
