Among Us Plagued By Invisibility Glitch | Game Rant

The sudden success of the social deduction game Among Us is certainly unexpected and surprising. It is worth noting that the game was first released back in 2018 and did not get any traction until two years after its launch. To the uninitiated, Among Us is an online multiplayer game that puts most players into the role of Crewmates, while a predetermined few are selected as Impostors. However, no one knows who the Impostors are apart from themselves, and their goal is to slowly kill off the entire crew before they can complete all their tasks.

Unsurprisingly, some players have since attempted to hack the game to obtain an unfair advantage, while others resorted to exploiting glitches to reach the same objective. However, most of the glitches in Among Us are relatively harmless, except for the invisibility glitch. As the name clearly implies, the invisibility glitch allows players who are playing as the impostor to time venting, allowing them to traverse the ship without being seen by the rest of the players.

To activate the glitch in a public lobby, the impostor must vent as soon as an emergency meeting is called or before a body is found. When done correctly, the impostor will still be able to see their sprite in-game, but others won’t be able to. However, it appears that the glitch has its limitations, given that it will automatically deactivate as soon as the player kills someone.

Of course, given the parameters of Among Us, having a glitch that essentially makes Impostors invisible defeats the game’s fun. While those who are exploiting it may enjoy the ability to pick off crewmates who are alone, it’s not so fun for those players who are at a disadvantage. At the moment, it is still unclear whether the invisibility glitch has already caught the attention of the game’s developers. However, given that it harms the overall gameplay, it is likely that it will soon be patched out of the game.

Meanwhile, Among Us’s popularity continues to grow, especially now that the game’s mobile version is nearly as popular as Pokemon GO when it first launched in 2016. Of course, with that amount of attention comes a wide variety of fan art and other tributes from fans. One particular project from a fan who goes by Flash in Rahul on YouTube even created a movie trailer that reimagines Among Us as a horror movie.

Among Us is available now on Mobile and PC.
