Xbox Game Pass Adding PUBG, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and More Games This Week

Since Microsoft first introduced the service a few years ago, Xbox Game Pass has become a staple of the Xbox brand, offering players hundreds of hours of gameplay for one fixed monthly cost. Updated frequently, the service is currently jam-packed with widely-acclaimed games, featuring the likes of Resident Evil 7, Doom Eternal, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, The Outer Worlds, and many more.

With October quickly coming to a close, it seems Xbox is looking to bring a batch of brand new games to the platform, including some spooky releases sure to scratch that Halloween itch and a few widely acclaimed indie gems. In total, a whopping 14 titles will join the service, with Microsoft not holding back on bringing the big guns as the holiday season draws closer.

The biggest of the bunch are the Android version of Player’s Unknown Battlegrounds, the incredibly popular battle royale action game that kickstarted the genre’s success in the mainstream, and Five Nights at Freddys 1 – 4which bundles Scott Cawthon’s iconic horror series into one terrifying package. Both games will be available on October 29, with the latter available on PC, Xbox One, and Android. Classic Double Fine games Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, and Grim Fandango will all be joining PC and Xbox One on the same day, alongside Scourge Bringer on Android and Unruly Heroes on PC, Xbox One, and Android.

Meanwhile, adorable puzzle adventure game Carto joins PC and consoles slightly earlier on October 27 and heralded indie gem Celeste hits Android, PC, and Xbox One a little later on November 5. Celeste will be joined by a few more games on that date, with Eastshade, Knights and Bikes, and Deep Rock Galactic also all landing in early November. Finally, Ark: Survival Evolved – Explorer’s Edition will make its way to Android, PC, and consoles later into the month, officially debuting on November 17.

For Xbox Game Pass owners, it seems there will be tons of great content up for grabs this November, ranging from horror cult-classics to battle royale mainstays, and even award-winning indie gems. As the release date of the Xbox Series X and S draws ever closer, it seems Game Pass will remain a core part of the console’s line-up, continuing to offer great games at an even greater price point. It’s sure to be a huge selling point for those looking to pick themselves up a Series X when it drops on November 10, with early-adopters given access to a vast launch library for only $9.99 a month.
