The game known as Fallout 4 has over 200 quests in it, with some quests progressing the story and others offering side stories. With so many quests found in the game, there are a few that don’t get the attention they deserve. This is either because players do not talk to the right character or because the player does not go anywhere near where the quest is located.
For players who have found these quests, they are sure to be extremely memorable. Some major changes through the Commonwealth can happen because these quests are completed, while some of these quests are just fun to play through.
10 The Silver Shroud
This quest starts in Goodneighbor after talking to Kent Connolly in the Memory Den. The player must go to Hubris Comics to get the costume of the Silver Shroud, which then begins the Sole Survivor’s quest to clean up the Commonwealth. After a few tasks, Kent will be kidnapped and the player has to rescue him.
The player can rescue Kent or let him be killed — either way the player will get to keep the costume. The best part of the quest of the costume is that the Sole Survivor can start to talk like the Silver Shroud.
9 A Pillar of the Community
Players who find the Charles View Amphitheater will find a group called Pillars of the Community. They will be greeted by a man who asks if the player wants to join the group. The player will be led to an office, where they are told to give up all of their items.
The player can either agree or refuse. Agreeing will empty the player’s inventory of everything they had owned. Refusing will cause everyone in the area to turn hostile unless a speech check is passed.
8 Here Kitty, Kitty
This quest starts in Vault 81 and requires the player to find Erin Combe’s kitty, named Ashes. Ashes got out of the vault and must be found in the Commonwealth. Luckily enough, the cat has not gotten that far.
Ashes can be found on the docks at the Chestnut Hillock Reservoir. Players can convince the cat to go back to the vault, which will complete the quest. Erin and her kitten will be reunited, with the kitten never leaving the vault again.
7 Pull the Plug
Players who head to Thicket Excavations will find a flooded quarry and a man named Sully Mathis who is asked for help. The player must fix some pipes, drain the quarry, and then fight two mirelurks. Sully will thank the player, giving them some caps.
Coming back later will reveal that Sully is actually a raider and has his group camped out here now. The player can take them all out, putting an end to one raider group in the Commonwealth.
6 Kid in a Fridge
Players wandering around Neponset Park will hear a voice coming from a fridge. Opening it up will reveal a Ghoul child, who has been trapped in the fridge for over 200 years. Players can either bring him back to his home in Quincy or sell him to a Gunner. Players can only sell the child for 350 caps, with an additional 500 caps after passing a speech check.
If the child is returned to his home, the player must defend the boy and his family from the Gunners. By passing a very hard speech check, the player can avoid fighting by saying the house is empty. This will reunite the family and protect them for the time being.
5 Confidence Man
By completing Confidence Man, players have the chance to make the radio host Travis a lot more confident. The Sole Survivor and the owner of the Dugout Inn will set up a fake fight for Travis to win. Travis wins it, and becomes excited by his win. A waitress at the Dugout Inn is then convinced to go on a date with Travis.
The owner of the Dugout Inn is kidnapped by two raiders and held at the Beantown Brewery. The Sole Survivor and Travis go to the brewery and rescue the owner, which leads to Travis gaining a lot of confidence. Players can hear the change in confidence on the radio, as Travis is no longer his former self.
4 The Devil’s Due
This quest focuses on a deathclaw egg that can be found at the Museum of Witchcraft. Gunners were tasked with getting the deathclaw egg, but were all killed. Instead, the Sole Survivor is able to go in and retrieve the egg. After getting the egg from the nest, the player has two options.
They can either bring it to the Colonial Taphouse in Diamond City for caps and a deathclaw omelet recipe. The other option has the player bring the egg back to the mother deathclaw. Doing this will only give the player a deathclaw gauntlet, but it can fill the player with joy about doing a good thing.
3 Last Voyage of the U.S.S. Constitution
Players are able to find the historic USS Constitution fitted with jets. It is under the control of robots and is lodged on a bank. The player will first be tasked with defending the ship from scavengers, afterwards needing to gather supplies so the ship can fly again. This will bring the player all over the Commonwealth.
After getting the supplies, the player can activate the ship. It will fly off into the distance, only to crash into a skyscraper. Players could also side with the scavengers for this quest, but this option will not have the ship fly off.
2 Long Time Coming
This is Nick Valentine’s companion quest and has Nick finally find Eddie Winter. Nick will first ask the player to find holotapes relating to Eddie Winter, with all being found at police stations around Boston. The player and Nick will then go to Andrew Station to find Eddie’s bunker.
Eddie will be killed, and Nick will talk to the player after leaving the bunker. As it turns out, the location at the exit is where the fiancee of Nick’s human counterpart was killed. Nick will reveal he is at peace now, finally getting his revenge.
1 Pickman’s Gift
Players who stumble upon Pickman’s Gallery are sure to be confused. There are many frightening paintings and a few dead raiders located throughout. As it turns out, the gallery owner killed raiders and uses them as art installations. The raiders don’t like this, so they attacked his gallery.
The player can go through the gallery and kill the raiders inside. Doing this will cause Pickman to be grateful, offering up a reward. Going back to the front of the shop will reveal a safe with a knife in it. The knife causes targets to bleed for 25 additional damage. There is also a thank you note from Pickman, sampling saying ‘thanks, killer’.
