Ubisoft’s UPlay Plus is getting a brand new name and expanding on its current features. Now named Ubisoft Plus, the subscription service for the massive third party publisher is headed towards more platforms with the help of Google Stadia and Amazon Luna.
Along with the name change, Ubisoft Plus will now come with Stadia and Luna integration (Amazon’s new cloud-gaming service). Players with an Ubisoft Plus subscription will be able to play their games within Stadia and or Luna, meaning they can both download the games on PC or have them streamed via those services.
Ubisoft Plus will not be coming to consoles, or at least not yet. There are a lot of things to look forward to for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and both have their own versions of some sort of subscription service. Right now Ubisoft isn’t a part of that, which means that the service is basically relegated to PC or mobile devices.
Ubisoft Plus is currently planning to relaunch on November 10 in beta form. The Google Stadia and Amazon Luna updates will come later. Regardless, the service provides a lot of gaming opportunities for fans, and the new name is something the publisher is looking to use to bring in new consumers.
