Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is quickly approaching its early November release date, and as is the case with other CoD games, that means leak season has kicked into full gear. One of the biggest leaks yet for Black Ops Cold War has to do with scorestreaks, as the full list has supposedly appeared online.
While other leaks deal with some interesting changes to Call of Duty Zombies, the scorestreak information is even more credible due to some leaked images online confirming the streaks. While the pictures cannot be shown in this article, they should be easy to find online for those interested. The leaked scorestreak list is fair game, however, and it certainly seems to offer some interesting options for new and returning players alike.
- Incendiary Bow – 500 points
- RC-XD – 600 points
- Armor – 700 points
- Spy Plane – 800 points
- Counter Spy Plane – 900 points
- Flamethrower – 1,000 points
- Care Package – 1,250 points
- Sentry Turret – 1,400 points
- Death Machine – 1,500 points
- Cruise Missile – 1,750 points
- Artillery – 2,000 points
- Hand Cannon – 2,250 points
- Napalm Strike – 2,500 points
- Air Patrol – 3,000 points
- War Machine – 3,250 points
- Strafe Run – 3,500 points
- Attack Helicopter – 4,000 points
- H.A.R.P. – 5,000 points
- Chopper Gunner – 6,000 points
- VTOL Escort – 8,000 points
- Gunship – 10,000 points
Twitch streamer Shroud will hate this leak given his comments on scorestreaks within Call of Duty, but there seems like a strong bit of variety within the list for those who enjoy them. Armor returns from Modern Warfare 3, providing players with extra protection for themselves and possibly their teammates. Entirely new streaks such as the Incendiary Bow, which is the cheapest on the list due to it likely being a high skill weapon, could change up the gameplay quite a bit. Like the Flamethrower, the bow would have surely been tied to a Specialist if that system had returned, as Outrider and Firebreak previously wielded the Bow and Flamethrower as Specialist Weapons. The Hand Cannon streak may be a reskinned Annihilator pistol as well.
Some of the streaks on the list are certainly costly, however, with the 10,000 points required to access the Gunship sure to be a major challenge for the majority of CoD players. The Black Ops Cold War beta lowered the cost of certain scorestreaks, so it will be interesting to see if this is requested by players once again upon the game’s launch. Regardless, the controversial new scorestreak system seems like it is not going anywhere, so players will need to adapt if they want to earn the high-end streaks of Black Ops Cold War.
Some of the major returning streaks that should please old school Black Ops fans are the VTOL escort, which follows players after being deployed, and the wieldable Death Machine minigun. Perhaps the most interesting streak of the leak, however, is the classic scorestreak recently added to CoD Mobile: the Advanced UAV. Now going by the name H.A.R.P., the streak is confirmed to function like other versions of the powerful UAV via the leaked images. The return of the original mini-map to Black Ops Cold War makes this team-oriented streak possible, and old school fans will likely be thrilled to see it make a comeback in the new game.
It will be interesting to see if kills with controllable streaks like the leaked Gunship count for the Black Ops Cold War trophy that asks for lots of eliminations with vehicles. Regardless, this leak assures fans that the game will have some of the most scorestreak variety CoD has seen in years, with 21 different options available to players.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be available November 12 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
