My Hero Academia: Ultra Impact Game Announced for Mobile Devices

Bandai Namco Entertainment reveals yet more My Hero Academia news, this time in the form of a mobile game. In 2021, fans will be able to download and play My Hero Academia: Ultra Impact, featuring three versus three combat and mobile game versions of scenes from the anime and manga. There isn’t a ton of information about this yet, especially since the announcement was made in Japanese, but a closed beta will launch soon for players in Japan.

My Hero Academia: Ultra Impact looks to be an eccentric adaptation of the anime, featuring a stylistic art style for character sprites and unlockable art cards within the game. From what few pictures have been shared, it seems likely that the game will be focused around Gacha mechanics in which players try to get their favorite characters from the show to form a powerful team.

This news comes not long after the Itsuka Kendo announcement for My Hero: One’s Justice 2 revealing that she would be joining the list of playable characters for that game. There’s no release date for Kendo just yet either, but fans should expect to see more about these two developments in the coming weeks.

The closed beta for My Hero Academia: Ultra Impact begins on November 6th and runs until November 9th in Japan. After that beta periods fans might be able to see a little more about how the game plays and what to expect from it, but until that point players will need to wait for more information from Bandai Namco and perhaps an English announcement as well.
