With the arrival of the Xbox Series X and S on the horizon, many are likely wondering what free games Microsoft will be offering Xbox Live Gold subscribers this November. Games with Gold offered Slayaway: Butcher’s Cut, Maid of Sker, Sphinx and the Curse of the Mummy, and Costume Quest during October, which made for a fitting haul considering Halloween is fast approaching.
As expected, November will see four new games available free of charge, with Xbox announcing the lineup will also be playable on the Series X and S. This month will see subscribers get access to Aragami: Shadow Edition and Swimsanity! on Xbox One, while Full Spectrum Warrior and LEGO Indiana Jones will be available via backward compatibility.
Aragami first released back in 2016, with the third-person stealth action game putting players in the role of an undead assassin who can use mystical powers to stalk his prey. Sneaking between vantage points, the main gameplay allows players to use the shadows to their advantage, as they teleport, turn invisible, and even summon powerful weapons or a shadow dragon to aid in battle. Its Shadow Edition hit Xbox One back in 2018, bundling Aragami with its Nightfall DLC, which offers a prequel campaign set before the events of the game.
Meanwhile, Swimsanity! is a multiplayer underwater shooter, which allows players to engage in cooperative or versus modes. Players assume the role of Moomba as they use a range of weapons and unique powerups to defeat several colossal underwater foes, including giant sharks, turtles, and more. It seems like a strong cooperative game for Xbox users, including both local and online multiplayer for its various modes.
In terms of backward compatible titles coming to Games with Gold this month, Full Spectrum Warrior is an original Xbox title which first released back in 2004. The title is a squad-based, real-time tactics game, which sees players put in charge of two teams of soldiers as they engage in a number of intense battlefield scenarios. It managed to bag an 84 on Metacritic at release, going down among many as something of a cult classic.
Finally, LEGO Indiana Jones on the Xbox 360 was one of the first of Traveller’s Tale’s iconic LEGO platformers, this time following the first three Indiana Jones films. As expected from the series, users can play as over 80 characters from the franchise as they partake in some of its most notable moments. It first released back in 2008, managing to score a 77 upon release.
