Dark Souls 3: 10 Rarest Rings (& Where To Find Them) | Game Rant

Rings are more than mere accessories in Dark Souls 3. They offer crucial stat boosts, abilities, and features that will enhance a player’s build, and they’re sometimes even borderline being mandatory for certain playstyles and techniques. Also, just like all real treasures, they can be difficult to find.

A few can be acquired with specific starting classes or found while exploring as the Chosen Undead makes their way through the game. But, the most potent and rarest can only be found in new game + and beyond or in the depths of some of the most challenging areas. Fear not, though, for treasure is never out of reach for the truly adventurous.

10 Ring Of Favor +3

This beneficial band, which can be found during a first playthrough, is located in one of the most dangerous areas of the game: The Ringed City. From the Earthen Peak Ruins bonfire, go straight, and then follow the massive tree root left. Head for the broken shack and use it as cover from the angel’s destructive beam attacks. Then go right towards some broken, vertical beams of wood and enter right, through a rugged stone doorway. Turn right once more, and head through the large grid of wooden beams.

After this, proceed straight past another broken shack and onto a large root leading up and to the left. Follow this, being wary of the angel’s attacks until a familiar white item glow greets you.

9 Covetous Gold Serpent Ring +3

Another upgraded ring to be found in The Ringed City, which is also possible to acquire on a first playthrough, resides in a tucked-away area guarded heavily by fierce foes. As the player descends a stairway patrolled by six herald knights, they need to make a left before entering the swamp. Around the corner, they will find a ladder leading up to where a non-hostile Locust Preacher NPC will be standing.

From there, one needs to cross the stone bridge defended by two ringed knights and follow the left path until they reach an open room with a human NPC in a chair. Beside them is the coveted ring, which is ideal for farming items.

8 Lingering Dragoncrest Ring +2

Those seeking this ring will need to brave the trials of Dark Souls 3 multiple times, as this one, like many +2 rings, can only be found in new game +2. In the Grand Archives, before the player crosses the crowded bridge leading to the Twin Princes’ boss fight, they will need to make a left and proceed up some curving stairs that lead to a domed roof with a structure featuring an alcove guarded by three ascended winged knights.

From the top of this structure, roll down onto the frontal balcony, and within the alcove is the ring resting upon a corpse.

7 Sage Ring +2

Once more crusading through multiple playthroughs, one will be hard-pressed to find this sagely finger loop, for it is one that requires some acrobatics. From the bonfire acquired after defeating Dancer of the Boreal Valley, head up the ladder and then left. Avoid the cathedral knight and take the elevator down to the Consumed King’s Garden.

Worry not about the pus of men that lurk there, as, upon exiting the elevator, one needs only to take a left to a platform by some broken stairs. From there, drop down carefully, and then leap to the left section of the broken stairs for one’s prize.

6 Silvercat Ring

This feline feature is one of the few items that can only be acquired through one of Dark Soul 3‘s subtle questlines. At approximately midway through the game, the player will encounter Sirris of the Sunless Realms lounging casually within the hub area of Firelink Shrine.

After speaking with her and traveling some more, the player can encounter a summon sign near the bridge leading into Irithyll of the Boreal Valley. Activate the summon sign to enter Sirris’ world, where she will need assistance defeating a foe. After doing so, speak to her when she returns to Firelink shrine, and she will gift this useful ring.

5 Calamity Ring

If one is looking to make this already difficult game even harder, they can do so by acquiring this ring bearing the orange eye that references a dragon from the first Dark Souls game. This is one that needs a gesture, so many might miss it.

Upon using the Path of the Dragon gesture, which is found on a corpse just beyond the Oceiros, the Consumed King boss fight, to reach Archdragon Peak, head to the mausoleum filled with statues in the same pose and perform the gesture facing an alter before the petrified form of a wyvern resting between two stairways.

4 Estus Ring

To gain this useful trinket, one must first buy a key that unlocks the tower door from the shrine handmaiden located within Firelink Shrine. After doing so, proceed up the right stairs within the shrine until outside. Unlock the tower, head up, and cross the bridge into the next tower.

Upon entering this second tower, stop just beyond the door and look down over the ledge on the left. The player will see a corpse upon a coffin. Jump down onto this corpse, where one will find the Firekeeper armor set, and then proceed to jump down to the ground floor, where the player will find another corpse. This one holds the Estus Ring.

3 Fleshbite Ring +1

This ring will make a player’s life much easier when dealing with status effect build-up and can be found relatively early in a new game + run. Head down from the Tower on the Wall bonfire in the High Wall of Lothric area and across the roof with the hollows and the pus of man hidden among them.

Keep to the right, and, instead of going down the wooden ladder, leap across to the adjacent rooftop with fencing at the end. At the base of this fencing, one will find their aid against the many status effects of Dark Souls 3.

2 Skull Ring

All Chosen Undead worth their souls will know Ludleth of Courland, as he is an NPC that sells the player powerful equipment in exchange for boss souls. Though, if impatient completionism is on one’s mind, he can be slain in order to acquire the Skull Ring. This ring can also be found upon his throne very late in the game, making the cold-blooded slaughter of an ally unnecessary, albeit efficient.

1 Obscuring Ring

This shrouding band is only available as a covenant reward from Rosaria’s Fingers. One must offer up a pile of foul pale tongues to the covenant leader in the Cathedral of the Deep, but, since only one covenant can be joined at a time, the player must plan accordingly if they seek this trinket.

It is recommended to join Rosaria’s Fingers after acquiring the Silvercat Ring from Sirris’ quest in order to attain both during the same playthrough.
