Fans of Dimension 20 are in luck, as the Dungeons and Dragons show has announced a new season of Unsleeping City, one of the major campaigns in the anthology series. However, there will be some considerable differences this time around due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Notably, the show is being recorded remotely, using Roll20 to facilitate play. Of course, the game is still being run by Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan, who has helmed each season of the show so far. Additionally, the cast members from the first season of Unsleeping City will be returning, including Emily Axford, Alley Beardsley, Brian Murphy, Zac Oyama, Siobhan Thompson, and Lou Wilson.
This time around, the heroes will be facing off against Gladiator, a massive corporation that threatens both the waking and dreaming worlds. Dimension 20’s campaigns tend to be far removed from the traditional fantasy tropes found in other Dungeons and Dragons campaigns, and it looks like that trend will continue with the Unsleeping City Chapter 2.
The new season is set to launch on November 11, streaming through the Dropout subscription service. That leaves new viewers with enough time to check out the first season of Unsleeping City and to familiarize themselves with the world and the returning characters. There are a number of campaigns featured within the Dimension 2o umbrella at this point, each with unique settings and differentiated casts.
Game Rant recently sat down with Brennan Lee Mulligan to talk about Dimension 20 and remote play. The show has steadily become one of the standouts on the Dropout service, offering something to enjoy for any Dungeons and Dragons fan.
