Genshin Impact Bug Adds Five Characters to a Party | Game Rant

A newly discovered bug in Genshin Impact is allowing players to have a five-character party, essentially making difficult battles easier while allowing players to construct powerful teams and combinations in return.

This Genshin Impact gameplay bug was discovered recently, yet has already managed to generate a high amount of attention within the game’s community. Furthermore, a video tutorial was posted on Genshin Impact‘s Reddit page by user FaydeCSGO, explaining how to do the exploit correctly in order to obtain a fifth party member in one’s game. One thing that needs to be pointed out, however, is that although the game does allow players to have a five-character party, that can only happen at certain points in the game. With the exploit, players are able to have five characters at all times with them.

According to the tutorial video posted on Reddit, in order to activate the bug correctly, players need to first die with the character that they want to use for the fifth slot. Afterwards, they need to hit the dead character’s number (the one used for activation) and ALT click the main menu at the same time. Finally, players will have to change the dead character out for a new character and then eat any food to revive the character. If done correctly, players should see that their party increased from four characters to five characters.

Despite being an exploit, players who are new to Genshin Impact or those that are struggling with specific boss battles are certain to take advantage of the bug and put it to good use. Additionally, the Reddit user stated that the exploit allows players to still trigger Elemental Resonance, meaning that the ability will still increase their damage by having two characters that share the same element in their party. In other words, the bug allows for some special combination of characters at any point in the game and is sure to be seen as useful against enemies.

As helpful as the exploit may seem to be, it is still considered to be a bug, meaning that it will likely get patched out at one point in the future. Generally speaking, such exploits are considered to be game breaking and the developers will have to push out an update to try and get those exploits fixed as soon as possible. For now however, it would be in one’s best interest to give the exploit a try and see what kind of party they can come up in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact is currently available on mobile devices, PlayStation 4, PC, and is in development for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
