Black Panther Costume Leaked For Marvel’s Avengers | Game Rant

While Marvel’s Avengers players are currently experiencing a content drought as Crystal Dynamics attempts to improve and refine the game, details regarding the addition of Black Panther have leaked. Fans have discovered images of mysterious symbols that could be the character’s abilities within Marvel’s Avengers, as well as an image of the King of Wakanda himself.

Black Panther was teased for Marvel’s Avengers back at the beginning of September during the special launch War Table for the game. While Crystal Dynamics originally planned to show off the character, the team delayed the footage out of respect to Chadwick Boseman after the actor tragically passed away. When Black Panther will be seen in the game is unclear, though with two Hawkeyes on the way and recent leaks, he seems likely to arrive early next year.

Despite a rocky launch, Marvel’s Avengers sold well and Crystal Dynamics has assured fans that the game has a bright future ahead of it. Black Panther is undeniably a part of that future, and players now have some idea of what the Avengers game could look like when the character arrives. Dedicated Avengers fan Miller has been picking apart a leaked video made by dataminers that is full of concept art and future additions, with numerous symbols being found that resemble abilities for other characters in the game.

If the mysterious symbols are indeed abilities, they could be tied to T’challa or another DLC character like Kate Bishop. One of these images shows the “infinity” symbol, while another shows something a bit more science inspired. Another symbol looks like a computer chip, and there are plenty more like these throughout Miller’s thread on the leaks. While it is unclear how these abilities function, if that is what they truly are, it is safe to assume that some of these emblems are related to Wakanda’s King in some way. Other fan theories for the symbols suggest faction or mission logos, as well as potential gear elements.

As part of the State of the Game update that gave fans a thank you bundle full of Avengers currency, Crystal Dynamics teased that 2021 would see the addition of an entirely new region and story arc alongside a new character. While the DLC hero in question is likely to be Black Panther, with the region being Wakanda, nothing official has been shared with fans quite yet. However, whenever T’challa does arrive, he will be sporting a slightly different costume from what one might expect. As shown within one of Miller’s posts, concept art of the hero is positioned alongside War Machine, another leaked character. Wearing a more realistic take on the usual Vibranium armor, Crystal Dynamics’ Black Panther certainly looks unique.

While the more regal, armored look of T’challa is both cool and original, hopefully gamers are interested in playing the content whenever it arrives. With some players already claiming Marvel’s Avengers is a dying game, the release of T’challa may come too late and not be enough to entice fans that have moved on from the game to return.

Marvel’s Avengers is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions currently in development.
