Pokemon Sword and Shield: All Ash’s Pikachu Mystery Gift Codes

Pokemon Sword and Shield‘s second major DLC, Crown Tundra, is releasing soon. In celebration of this event, players can use these mystery gift codes in order to obtain Ash’s Pikachu in game. There are eight different variants available, each wearing a different version of Ash’s hat, and all eight are available now to players for free.

In order to get these Pikachus in Pokemon Sword and Shield, players need to use the mystery gift feature. There is a separate code for each Pikachu available, and players can claim as many or as few of them as they want. They don’t seem to have any special moves or stats, but they are restricted in that they cannot evolve into a Raichu.

In addition to the above changes, each of these Pikachus will have “Ash” as their original trainer. These codes must be redeemed by November 30th, and players do not need to have purchased either the Isle of Armor or the Crown Tundra DLCs in order to be eligible to receive the gift.

Below are the mystery gift codes to get each of the different versions of Ash’s Pikachu. For reference, they can each be seen in the image above, though they are not ordered in any particular way. Through this method, players can get all eight pikachus, each with the different hat variant.

  • Pikachu (Original Cap): P1KACHUGET
  • Pikachu (Partner Cap): 1CH00SEY0U
  • Pikachu (Hoenn Cap): P1KAADVANCE
  • Pikachu (Sinnoh Cap): V0LTTACKLEP1KA
  • Pikachu (Unova Cap): P1KABESTW1SH
  • Pikachu (Kalos Cap): KAL0SP1KA
  • Pikachu (Alola Cap): ULTRAP1KA
  • Pikachu (World Cap): K1NP1KA1855

For those wondering how to use mystery gift, players first need to load up their copy of Pokemon Sword or Shield. From here, press “X” to enter the menu and select the Mystery Gift option. Choose “Get Mystery Gift” and then select “Get with Code/Password. From here, players need simply type in any of the codes shown above and then watch as the corresponding Pikachu arrives in their game. It should be said that this does require an internet connection, and it’s good practice to save after retrieving the Pikachu. Each of these codes can only be used once, so it’s best not to take any chances.

Overall the process is pretty simple, and fans have until November 30th to make sure they redeem these codes. Aside from trouble with box space, there’s really no reason not to get all of them. Which of Ash’s hats each player prefers is of course up to them, but these models won’t be available anymore after November.
