A new month is here, but Magic: The Gathering play is still being dominated by Zendikar Rising and the freshly-rotated Standard format. As Magic play contains to remain primarily remote to keep players safe, Magic Arena is the main place for many players to get in some drafts and Constructed games this month.
Magic Arena rotates events on a weekly basis, so players are usually able to keep things fresh if they happen to need a break from the latest set. Zendikar Rising drafts will continue to be featured throughout the rest of the month and into the holiday season, but the other Standard-legal sets will also rotate in and out of the events calendar to offer some alternatives. That plus the weekly FNM at Home events should help keep players busy during November 2020 in Magic Arena.
Like always, there will occasionally be a surprise event that pops up as a special treat for players to help celebrate a particular holiday or other occasion. That said, this week’s events appear to be locked in and it would be pretty surprising if anything else major showed up in the game between now and November 8. Players will have their choice between two different types of Zendikar Rising draft options, an Ikoria: Lair of the Behemoths draft, and the usual Friday Night Magic offering to spice things up a bit.

In terms of scheduled events, that should be everything players need to know to jump into Magic Arena this week and start playing some Zendikar Rising or head back to the Godzilla-inspired Ikoria set. Both sets provide very entertaining Limited formats that were well-received by players, so that should help make for a popular week of events on the online platform.
As always, players can also queue up for casual or ranked Constructed play at any time. Those matches are free and are the primary way lots of players attempt to climb the ranked Constructed ladder all the way up to the Mythic Tier. Reaching that level of play requires a ton of practice, play, and grinding; but is a great way to try and qualify for special tournament invites and prizes in the competitive card game.
Magic Arena is available now for PC and Mac. A mobile version is currently in development.
