In the spirit of Halloween, Dr Disrespect announced his fourth-annual costume contest. Throughout the month of October, fans dressed up in their best Dr Disrespect outfits and submitted pictures or videos on social media using the hashtag “Doctober.” Every Dr Disrespect costume featured his signature mustache, glasses, and mullet wig, but one little fan’s Call of Duty: Warzone clip led to reactions from viewers and Dr Disrespect himself.
During a Twitch stream, Dr Disrespect reacted to many of the Halloween contest submissions, but when he watched a video featuring a pint-sized child’s take on Doc, the streamer could not help but cheer along. The TikTok video featured the son of user “RabidW4lker” pulling off some impressive kills in Call of Duty: Warzone.
The costume itself is accurate, complete with a red body armor vest that has the Dr Disrespect logo. The little kid’s attitude and playstyle complete his transformation into the Doc. Immediately upon dropping into a Warzone Plunder match, the miniature Doc is aggressively pursuing enemies and finishing them with an MP5. Throughout the video, Dr Disrespect gets more impressed with the gameplay featuring his signature lines shouted by the kid.
The hashtag to enter the Halloween contest has been flooded with submissions throughout October, and Dr Disrespect spent almost three hours reviewing the submissions. Winners were chosen on the stream, with first, second, and third place getting different prizes. First place received a Turtle Beach Elite Areo headset, Elo USB touchmonitor, headset stand, Sense XXL mousepad, a Vulcan Pro keyboard and a Kain 200 mouse. Second and third place also won a Turtle Beach Stealth Gen 2 headset, an Elo monitor, a Vulcan keyboard, and a mouse.
Although “RabidW4lker” did not win one of the three prizes, their son was featured on Dr Disrespect’s stream in a very wholesome moment. The Halloween contest has shown that the Doc’s signature look has become famous for his many viewers. Dr Disrespect has even recently partnered with Rogue Company to use his likeness for a character and map called “The Arena,” inspired by the Twitch streamer’s virtual stadium.
Dr Disrespect is just one in a list of internet personalities that have partnered with video games for their likeness. Twitch streamer Loserfruit and Ninja also have shared their likeness for skins in the popular battle royale Fortnite. With such a recognizable look, Dr Disrespect might be featured in more games going forward, and have more fans dressing up next Halloween.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
