Viral Video Shows PS5 Consoles in Warehouse | Game Rant

Now that the next generation console launch is right around the corner, Sony is finally shipping large amounts of PS5 consoles all around the world. In fact, earlier in September reports showed Sony was shipping PS5’s on air freighters to meet the high demand for the console in the United States.

Seeing as November is finally here, plenty of consoles are actually in warehouses across the globe waiting to be moved to retailers. Now, a recent video on the PS5 subreddit showing a worker filming copious amounts of PS5 consoles inside a warehouse is going viral online.

As many PlayStation fans know, Sony took a very long time to finally reveal any substantial details surrounding the PS5. It wasn’t until June that fans finally got a look at the console’s design, with the PS5’s price reveal coming much later in September. Even now, Sony is still just rolling out new PS5 console and controller images that give better looks at the actual console design and hardware. Though Sony has definitely been drip-feeding information on the PS5 for quite some time now, fans should be getting their hands on the console soon seeing as warehouses are now full of them.

A video by a user going by the name Niza_Zombie_King showcases this through a short video on the PS5 subreddit. The video is only about 10 seconds long, but it nonetheless shows stacks upon stacks of PS5 consoles filling a massive warehouse. Earlier in September, a Bloomberg report claimed that Sony is producing millions fewer PS5 than was initially expected, but looking at this video one wouldn’t really guess it. Additionally, this is only a very brief clip at just one section of the massive warehouse, so there’s no telling just how many more consoles are housed inside.

It’s tough to get a size comparison of the retail box through the video, but the boxes that house the console look to be quite sizeable. While the PS4’s retail box was rather large in width, the PS5’s retail box looks to be pretty bulky all around. Considering the PS5 is a heavier console due to its size and structure, it makes sense the retail box would have to be fairly large and sturdy. Thanks to recent videos of content creators and outlets actually getting their hands on the console, fans have a clearer idea of the console’s actual size.

The video that showing Yasuhiro Ootori of Sony taking apart a PS5 console is great to watch for fans who want to get a better idea of the console’s structure. While most players will likely discard the console’s retail box, other’s might want to save it for future use. If this viral Reddit video is any indication of the PS5 box’s size, readers may want to have plenty of storage space if they plan on holding on to it.

The PS5 releases November 12.
