Watch Dogs: Legion, the third entry in Ubisoft’s open-world hacking series, has finally arrived. Unlike its predecessors, Watch Dogs: Legion has taken a trip across the Atlantic and is set in a near-future London. The player takes control of the hacker group DedSec, fighting against the totalitarian government and recruiting new members for the cause.
Unlike previous titles, Watch Dogs: Legion has multiple playable characters. In fact, it’s possible to recruit almost anyone in London to DedSec’s cause. As one might expect, not all Watch Dog: Legion Operatives are equal, and there are a few that are better suited to a life of hacktivism than the rest. One of these is the Drone Expert, a type of Operative that specializes in the use of Legion‘s remote-control drones. Having a Drone Expert on the team can be incredibly useful, and finding one isn’t too hard either.
There are plenty of Drone Experts to recruit in Watch Dogs: Legion, but the easiest one to get is actually encountered very early. To find them, simply travel east of the DedSec base in the City of Westminster, ending up directly in front of Parliament. A Drone Expert will be hanging around on the northern edge of this area. It’s easy enough to recognize them from a distance, as they’ll have a green holographic screen in front of their face.
Next, players will have to do a mission to recruit the Drone Expert. For the Operative outside Parliament, this involves raiding an Albion Fortress in Tower Hamlets. Once inside, players will need to download the location of a secret laboratory form an Albion lieutenant. Once it’s downloaded, head to the new location and erase the stolen data from a computer terminal. The mission will complete, recruiting a brand new Drone Expert for DedSec.
Drone Experts are extremely useful Operatives in the high-tech world of Watch Dogs: Legion. Their ability to summon Shock Drones makes them very handy on stealth missions. If things go loud, they can also employ drones that dive at enemies and explode.
However, the biggest strength of the Drone Expert is their ability to hack enemy drones. Albion are big fans of their combat drones, and turning them on their masters can be really effective. Finally, to represent their general tech-savvy nature, Drone Experts also get a speed bonus to Watch Dogs‘ hacking, allowing them to quickly tear through security and firewalls.
Watch Dogs: Legion is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, and later on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
