Cradle of Sins is an upcoming VR MOBA with a focus on strategy, published and developed by British developer U24 Solutions. To promote the game, U24 Solutions is hosting an online VR Twitch stream event with various DJs and online content creators.
Cradle of Sins follows a straightforward premise of several fighters being selected by a mysterious being called The Great Architect to face each other on a fantastical island, with the victor being granted their greatest desire. The VR event is called “Beat & Battle,” and will feature DJs, Twitch streamers, and YouTubers such as Steve Aoki, xQC, and Headhunterz. They are competing for a prize pool of $25,000 to be donated to a charity of their choosing.
Beyond Aoki, xQc, and Headhunterz, the event will include Twitch streamers Sodapoppin, Loserfruit of Fortnite fame, Yassuo, and Godhyr, as well as professional VR players PeskyCashew and AxisMunde. The DJs and musicians include Will Sparks, Amanda Harkimo, MAGNUS, Milwin, and the DJ duo WATEVA, while the YouTubers include Reality Check VR, ProjectJamesify, and The Lonely Viper. It will be hosted by artist Daniel Levi, and streamed on the game’s Twitch channel November 11 at 6:00 p.m. GMT.
The contestants will be split into eight teams of three, and each team will be contending in a tournament across three rounds: A regular match, the Semi-finals, and the Final Round. However, there are open spots on almost all of the teams except for Teams Crystal and Dragon for professional players to sign up and participate in the VR Twitch charity event.
Players will be able to register on the game’s website to join the event and play with the online celebrities themselves. As of now, Cradle of Sins is set to launch for early access on Steam in Q4 this year for VR platforms such as the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Valve Index, and the Windows Mixed Reality. There hasn’t been too much gameplay shown off thus far other than a few teaser trailers, old gameplay from 2019, and the Beat & Battle announcement trailer itself.
Currently, there is a countdown on the game’s website letting players know how much time is left before the VR event starts. The open spots are still available according to its website, and the event appears to be going forward. Players will be able to tune in on November 11 for Cradle of Sins‘ Beat & Battle Twitch competitive event and see the gameplay for themselves with online celebrities.
