Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bugs for November 2020 | Game Rant

With each passing month, Animal Crossing: New Horizons brings new content in the form of seasonal critters. Finding these bugs is by no means necessary, but in order to fill out their critterpedia and museum, players will need to know where to look. This November, there are several new bugs available, as well as some returning bugs from previous seasons.

It seems hard to believe, but Animal Crossing: New Horizons is starting to get to a point where fans are seeing critters pop back up again. The game released in April, and since there are several bugs that are only available from November to April, fans may see some familiar faces around the island.\

What bugs are available to players differs depending on whether they are in the northern or southern hemisphere. For northern hemisphere players, there are three new bugs to watch out for in November, and for southern hemisphere players, there are seven to track down.

In the northern hemisphere, players should be on the lookout for the Damselfly, Mole Cricket, and Tarantula bugs. Two of these, the Mole Cricket and Tarantula, were available for capture in April when the game first came out, so fans may already have these. The Damselfly is around all day and can be found fluttering through the air. For the Mole Cricket, players will need to look underground but still have no time constraint. Finally, the Tarantula from 7 PM to 4 AM, and fans will find them crawling around on the ground.

For those players in the southern hemisphere, the new bugs are the Great Purple Emperor, Queen Alexandra’s Birdwing, Banded Dragonfly, Pond Skater, Diving Beetle, Rosalia Batesi Beetle, and Scorpion. The Great Purple Emperor butterfly can be found flying about in early morning (4 AM to 7 AM), while the Queen Alexandra’s Birdwing is only available from 8 AM to 4 PM. The Banded Dragonfly is available a little later (8 AM to 5 PM), and the Pond Skater and Diving Beetle can be caught between 8 AM and 7 PM. After nightfall, players can search for the elusive Scorpion (7 PM to 4 AM), or spend any time of day looking for the Rosalia Batesi Beetle.

There are also several new fish and sea creatures in November for players to try and catch. It should also be noted that, though somewhat dangerous, the Tarantula and Scorpion are each worth 8,000 bells, so players that can catch a good amount of them can get quite a bit of money this way.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on Switch.
