Silent Hill PS5 Reboot Reveal Date Teased By Leakers | Game Rant

For months now, rumors have been swirling that a Silent Hill PS5 reboot is in active development, with Sony’s Japan studio making the game as part of a collaboration with Konami. Nothing official has been announced to date, but now even more rumors are pointing in the direction of the Silent Hill PS5 reboot game being announced as one of the big surprises at this year’s Game Awards event on December 10.

Initially, industry insider and sometimes-accurate leaker Roberto Serrano posted on Twitter that the Silent Hill PS5 reboot was going to be revealed at The Game Awards on December 10. Rely On Horror covered Serrano’s claim, and added that it had actually received information on the Silent Hill PS5 reboot that “lines up” with what Serrano said on Twitter. Rely On Horror said that it chose not to report on the leak, but didn’t elaborate as to why, and cautioned that fans should still take the information with a grain of salt.

Adding more fuel to the fire is ResetEra user KatharsisT, yet another proven industry insider. In a forum post, KatharsisT responded to someone asking if she knew anything about the supposed Silent Hill PS5 reveal at The Game Awards. “I would expect something if I were you. I think it’s better not to wait until 2021. I’m not saying we will have something during the Game Awards, just that I expect something.”

While it’s important that fans keep their expectations in check, the evidence is certainly piling up that the Silent Hill PS5 reboot will be announced at The Game Awards 2020 on December 10. However, there were previous reports that the Silent Hill PS5 reboot was going to be shown alongside the PS5 console itself earlier this year, and that didn’t happen, so fans shouldn’t necessarily get their hopes up.

If the Silent Hill PS5 reboot is indeed real, it will be interesting to see if the other rumors surrounding out turn out to be true as well. For example, rumors have pointed to the Silent Hill PS5 reboot bringing back original Silent Hill director Keiichiro Toyama, along with Silent Hill 2 composer Akira YamaokaSilent Hill monster designer Masahiro Ito is also said to be working on the unannounced project. But again, none of this has actually been confirmed at the time of this writing.

On the bright side, if these Silent Hill PS5 rumors are true, fans don’t have to wait too much longer to find out either way, as The Game Awards are just a month away on December 10.
