Fortnite‘s XP Xtravaganza Week 1 challenges are now live, giving players new opportunities to earn XP and make some progress on the Season 4 Battle Pass. One of these new challenges asks fans to use superpowers to eliminate opponents, and while this instruction is fairly straightforward, some additional details may be helpful. Providing such details is the exact purpose of this guide, which should help players complete this Fortnite XP Xtravaganza Week 1 challenge with ease.
To get right to it, there are two primary ways for players to use superpowers to eliminate opponents in Fortnite, and the first option can be pursued from within battle royale. More specifically, players should begin by dispatching one of the bosses in Fortnite Season 4 and collecting their superpower. Both Doctor Doom, who drops Arcane Gauntlets and Mystical Bombs, and Iron Man, who drops Repulsor Gauntlets and Unibeams, are great targets for this, as their locations allow fans to easily segue into the next step of this challenge.
For this next step, players will need to use the superpowers that they have obtained to eliminate opponents, and Doom Henchmen and Stark Robots work perfectly for that. As such, fans that have decided to take down Doctor Doom or Iron Man in Fortnite should simply remain in their respective areas and hunt for these AIs. Then, once one has been located, players should use their brand new superpower to get rid of the foe and advance this Fortnite Season 4 Week 11 challenge.
That said, if a player finds that there is too much competition for boss kills in battle royale, jumping into the Knockout LTM is a good alternative. Indeed, this Marvel-themed LTM gives fans immediate access to superpowers, which they can then use against one another. While this does mean that Fortnite players will need to get their eliminations against actual humans in Knockout, as opposed to AIs, circumventing the need to find a superpower certainly makes this approach worth considering.
One final thing to note about the “use superpowers to eliminate opponents” challenge in Fortnite is that it unfolds across three stages. Moreover, only one of these stages can be completed per match, and players will thus need to obtain a superpower multiple times if they want to maximize their rewards. This potentially makes using the LTM-focused approach even more appealing, as repeatedly vying with other players that are also trying to dispatch bosses for the challenge may prove slightly frustrating.
Fortnite is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
