In less than one week, both the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S will be commercially available for purchase. In the months leading up to the consoles’ release, Xbox has provided a multitude of details for consumers to utilize once the Xbox Series X is in their hands. Though, now it seems Xbox has introduced a streamlined way to help users prepare for console ownership.
The two consoles have seen their fair share of press, especially in the weeks leading up to the official launch date. In that time, a plethora of news has released with regards to many facets about not only the Xbox Series X/S, but also their various hardware specs and capabilities. With such new technology, it may seem a bit overwhelming for some users.
Luckily, Xbox has come up with a streamlined and approachable method to help prepare new users for the arrival of the new console. A video containing ten necessary steps for users to follow before the arrival of either the Xbox Series X or S. This video should definitely come in handy for those who pre-ordered an Xbox Series X or S.
This video contains various quality of life reminders for users to keep in mind going into the next console generation. Such as having up to date Xbox Live profiles, making room for the console, tuning TV settings, and obviously, making sure to have Xbox games available to play. Although, this video also contained an important piece of advice that some users may not have been aware of.
Earlier in the video, the spokeswoman reminded users to download the Xbox app for Android and iOS. This app is a helpful tool to use alongside the console, allowing users to access the Xbox UI even if they aren’t logged on to the console itself. For those that were not aware of this app before, this video should help to explain what the app is capable of.
It’s nice that Xbox has provided a way for both returning Xbox users and new players to effectively ease into using the new next-gen consoles. It will be interesting to see how well Xbox Series S fairs against the Series X. Other than the digital edition of the PS5, there hasn’t exactly been a console similar in concept to the Series S. Only time will tell how well both consoles are ultimately received by the gaming community.
The Xbox Series X and S are set to launch on November 12, 2020.
