With the PS5 launching on November 12, players that were lucky enough to land a console pre-order have a major game to look forward to: Spider-Man: Miles Morales. While the game isn’t a true next-gen exclusive what with it releasing simultaneously on PS4, early Miles Morales reviews have begun to roll in, praising it for its spectacular story despite its length. Insomniac Games seems to want continue this excitement as it has now released the Spider-Man: Miles Morales launch trailer that features many familiar Spidey foes.
At just over two minutes long, the Spider-Man: Miles Morales launch trailer is filled with teases and tidbits regarding the game’s general plot. In particular, players can see more gameplay against the first boss fight in the game, Rhino. Rhino was previously revealed to be in the game in mid-October and seems like he’s going to be a tough adversary for Miles to take care of.
While Rhino is certainly a nefarious foe for Miles to deal with, he isn’t the only major character in the young hero’s journey. The trailer gives many players their first look at the Prowler in action. While Prowler is sometimes seen as an antagonistic force, it appears that he will be taking somewhat of a partnership role in Spider-Man: Miles Morales. It also appears that this version of Prowler will be Miles’ uncle, Aaron Davis.
Finally, when it comes to villains, the trailer sheds some light on The Tinkerer, who has been billed as the main antagonist of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Players gain some insight into the enigmatic Tinkerer in this trailer, as they work towards stealing New Form, an experimental energy source, from the Roxxon Power Company. What they intend to use New Form for is unclear, but Miles seems determined not to let Tinkerer steal it.
It seems that Insomniac Games is dedicated to giving players an incredibly memorable experience with Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The game features many Spidey suits to collect, including one that is modeled after Miles’ suit in Into the Spider-Verse. The suit even is animated in same low frame rate that the movie was.
While the game is only a few days from launch, players interested in going into Miles Morales as spoiler free as possible might want to be careful. Some players have received their copies early and have started sharing spoilers for the game online. Hopefully, these spoilers will be taken down as quickly as possible, and give Spidey fans around the globe some peace of mind.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales releases on November 12, 2020, for PS4 and PS5.
