Even though this weapon has an ammo capacity of 10 and an overall score of 61, for a little less a player can purchase the Semi-Automatic Pistol, which rivals the Mauser Pistol in every category.

8 Best: LeMat Revolver
The LeMat is the most interesting handgun on this list because of its ability to shoot both revolver rounds and buckshot. This revolver has the capacity of nine bullets while in regular mode and can hold 1 buckshot round in shotgun mode.
The LeMat Revolver is available for purchase at Rank 1 and costs $317.00 or 13 gold bars. While not cheap, the gun makes up for its price with a speedy fire rate of 60%, an accuracy rating of 68%, and overall versatility.
7 Worst: Double-Action Revolver
The Double-Action Revolver unlocks at Rank 17 and has an ammo capacity of six. This gun is based on the Colt New Model 1892 Army & Navy Revolver.
It is true that this little revolver gives an outlaw quick draw speed, but it lacks the damage rate to take out enemies with one shot. With the Double-Action Revolver’s low ammo capacity, it is very hard to justify trusting this little firearm for very long in the unpredictable rugged world of Red Dead Online.
6 Best: Navy Revolver
The Navy Revolver is based on the 1851 Colt Navy Revolver. It can be bought from any Gun Store or in an outlaw’s Wheeler & Rawson Catalog, then picked up at a post office or back in a player’s lockbox at camp.
This firearm ties for the highest accuracy in a handgun with the volcanic pistol, with an accuracy rating of 72. The Navy Revolver has an overall rating of 59 and will set an outlaw back by $275.00 or 11 gold bars.
5 Worst: Volcanic Pistol
Unlike most of the handguns on this list, the Volcanic Pistol combines the accuracy of a rifle with the compact frame of a pistol. This weapon has an ammo capacity of eight rounds but a fire rate of only 50, making it horrible in fast-paced firefights.
On top of that, this gun will run an unsuspecting outlaw $270.00 or 11 gold bars and does not unlock until Rank 21. The Volcanic Pistol is tailored after the Smith & Wesson 1855 Volcanic Pistol.
4 Best: Schofield Revolver
With the traditional revolver ammo capacity of six and low cost of only $192.00 or eight gold bars, the Schofield Revolver lives up to the saying “more bang for your buck.” This revolver unlocks at Rank 9 and is a go-to gun for any beginner in Red Dead Online who needs to up their firepower in a hurry.
Modeled after the Smith and Wesson Model 3 Schofield Revolver, this gun offers both decent damage and reload speed.
3 Worst: Sawed-Off Shotgun
Even though the Sawed-Off Shotgun packs a huge punch with a damage of 65, it falls short in other areas. This firearm is amazing for clearing tight spaces of MPCs and fighting from horseback due to its ability to use specialty ammo such as Incendiary Buckshot and Explosive Slugs.

It is highly debatable which handgun is the pow for pow best in Red Dead Online, but Semi-Automatic Pistol tends to be part of the discussion. This firearm has the highest fire rate in the game, coming in at 85, and the highest reload coming in at 80.

The High Roller Double-Action Revolver is available for purchase at Rank 1 and features engravings all over. The only advantage this gun gives an outlaw is the opportunity to own a quickfire handgun early on. This flashy revolver will cost a player $190.00 or eight gold bars.
