For many in the gaming industry and community, the Series S has been quite a large question mark. On the topic of Halo, one fan actually discovered a Halo-themed Easter Egg engraved on the internal power supply and posted a picture of it on Reddit. Master Chief’s helmet, or possibly just a Spartan helmet, is engraved on the Series S’s PSU. No one else has found a similar engraving on the PSU of the Xbox Series X, but it is interesting how the manufacturer’s of the console thought to include this little detail.

Considering that Halo has been one of Xbox’s flagship games since the early 2000s and has been an important part of Xbox’s history, it would make sense for the company to have some sort of emblem signifying the series’ importance and influence on both Microsoft and the gaming industry as a whole.

Despite Halo Infinite’s delay, the game still remains an important boon to Microsoft’s next generation of consoles. With the promise of returning the franchise to its roots, Halo Infinite is an important reason for many members of the gaming community to even purchase an Xbox Series X|S.

It will be interesting to see how the gaming community receives both Halo Infinite and the Xbox Series S. It’s nice that the console features small little details such as this, and perhaps there are other hidden details featured within both the Series X and S. After all, the PS5 features a textured pattern comprised of the PlayStation’s various button symbols. In fact, one fan actually found the symbols within the lining of a PS5 Pulse Headset.

The Xbox Series S is set to launch on November 10th, 2020.
