Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is releasing around the world, allowing fans to share new information about the title. Alongside the intense Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War campaign, the game seems to be falling back on some popular Call of Duty: Black Ops trends that fans loved in previous titles.
While Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is innovating with multiple story endings, in-game puzzles, and an ’80s themed zombie experience, the game is also falling back on classic features. A familiar Call of Duty: Black Ops staple will be making an appearance in the new title, and fans are excited.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War contains three tiers of challenges. Career, Battle Hardened, and Dark Ops. While Career and Battle Hardened tell players exactly what they need to do, the Dark Ops challenges are crossed out until a player fulfills its prerequisites. They are secret missions for doing oddly specific tasks across the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War experience. In previous titles, these were often goofy and less serious challenges hidden in such a way that only the most outlandish and strange solutions would actually solve them.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is expected to have 32 Dark Ops challenges for players to complete. This is 13 in both Multiplayer and Zombie game modes while six are hidden among the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War campaign.
So far only one Dark Ops challenge has been leaked. The challenge is simply called “Nuked Out” and can be earned by claiming a “Nuclear” medal during a match of a free-for-all. This must be done without using a scorestreak so players should be careful to lock and load before attempting this challenge.
Two other Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War challenges have been revealed, but what must be done to complete them is unknown. Both Brutal Killer and Nuclear Killer are supposedly available, but their names give little to no information as to what the challenge actually requires.
As Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War continues to grow fans will no doubt discover varying challenges either accidentally or on purpose. Only through careful research and trying the impossible will players ever successfully complete the full list of Dark Ops hidden throughout Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s many game modes.
