It appears that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is shaping up to be one of the biggest games this year. Of course, while the game itself has received mostly positive reviews from players and critics, its release alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series X also helped its performance thanks to early adopters looking to test out their new consoles’ capabilities.
However, as with any game that has just been released, it appears that players are encountering some bugs and glitches in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. While most of the issues are minor, one specific bug has been causing headaches to players who are just starting their Viking adventure. In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, players will encounter a quest called Seer’s Solace early in the game. This quest is required for players to progress the story, but it appears now that some are unable to trigger the quest.
At the moment, the exact reason why this is happening remains unclear. However, some players predict that this may be the game’s way to encourage players to explore the vast open-world environment of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla instead of rushing straight to the main campaign. Luckily for players, Ubisoft has been made aware of the problem and has since introduced a hotfix. Players should note that this fix doesn’t require players to download any update, given that the studio deployed the hotfix on the game’s server. For now, players who encounter the issue must restart their game for the fix to work.
Ubisoft also confirmed that it would be introducing a more permanent fix, which will likely be added to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s first big update, which is scheduled to release “later this month.” Of course, just like with any other big updates, the upcoming one is expected to also introduce several quality-of-life improvements alongside bug fixes apart from the one mentioned above.
Meanwhile, it appears that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is already performing well in the market now that it has been revealed that the game is taking top billing in terms of physical sales in the UK. Furthermore, Ubisoft was proud to announce several days ago that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla already has double the number of players at launch compared to its immediate predecessor, which is 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is out now for the PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
