Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has officially launched, bringing with it a new batch of 1980s era weaponry. Players have wasted no time trying to find the best guns in the game’s current meta, with YouTuber Ali-A sharing a deadly Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War loadout for the MP5.
While Dr Disrespect recently shared an MP5 loadout for Call of Duty: Warzone, this version from Ali-A is designed specifically around the Black Ops Cold War version of the weapon. Ali-A’s MP5 also has the advantage of using attachments that are unlocked fairly early, however, giving players a chance to get the K/D raised early in their Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War careers.

It seems like the MP5 has continued its reign of dominance in the early stages of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s life cycle. Ali-A’s loadout sees a Quickdot LED attached to the barrel, with the muzzle of the weapon using a Sound Suppressor to keep players hidden as they rack up the kills. The weapon’s body sees the addition of a Steady Aim Laser to improve hipfire accuracy, while a Foregrip makes the weapon more accurate while aiming. Lastly, a 40 Round Magazine is equipped to keep players in gunfights longer.
Players should make use of this devastating MP5 loadout while they can, as the weapons of Black Ops Cold War will be rebalanced ahead of Season 1’s start date. While it is unclear if the MP5 will be one of the weapons to see a change, players making use of this supposedly overpowered loadout should expect the worst going into the game’s major December rework. With recent demands for sniper changes as well, the game could be looking quite different soon.
Hopefully, the new content coming alongside the Season One rework for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is plentiful, as the game’s launch is suffering due to a lack of map variety. While the core mechanics of the game are strong, Black Ops Cold War reviews are not as positive as they would be if the game had more content. With only a handful of multiplayer maps and a single Zombies map available at launch, the game is in dire need of some content.
Until the rework and content come, though, players should expect to see this MP5 build in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer for the next several weeks. Based on its effectiveness in Ali-A’s video, it is already one of the most dominant weapons on the Black Ops Cold War roster.
