Amazon Buy 2 Get 1 Free Sale Includes PS5, Xbox Series X Games

Amazon is currently having a buy 2, get 1 free sale on video games. Normally on a wider range of products, Amazon‘s latest sale focuses on titles across the major-brand consoles. Even included in the sale are games for the newly-released PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Amazon has had plenty of video game sales before, but they’re also hardly the first to offer a buy 2, get 1 deal this season. Target has been running its own B2G1 promo that includes PS5 games as well, although it appears each sale’s options vary.

Amazon’s sale includes many discounts on titles for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, in addition to PS5 and Xbox Series X. A lot of the available games for the now-old consoles have next-gen upgrade plans, so players will likely want to jump at these offers. Something that is adding a sense of urgency is the fact that games can be added or removed from the sale at any time. The following list highlights some of the biggest titles available as part of the deal right now:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (PS5)
  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (PS5, Xbox One, Series X/S)
  • NBA 2K21 (PS5)
  • Godfall (PS5)
  • Just Dance 2021 (Switch)
  • Sonic Mania + Team Sonic Racing Double Pack (Switch)
  • LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 (Switch)
  • Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 (Switch)
  • FIFA 21 Legacy Edition (Switch)
  • MY HERO ONE’S JUSTICE 2 (Switch)
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (Xbox One, Series X/S)
  • FIFA 21 (Xbox One, Series X/S)
  • NHL 21 (Xbox One, Series X/S)
  • Crash 4: It’s About Time (Xbox One, Series X/S)
  • WWE 2K Battlegrounds (Xbox One, Series X/S)
  • NBA 2K21 (Xbox One, Series X/S)

Amazon’s buy 2, get 1 sale includes many more options than the ones listed above, particularly with PS4 and Xbox One. The sale includes over 300 items, and also features deals on plenty of Funko Pop! figures, making this an ideal sale for collectors. Despite the heavier focus on games from Microsoft and Sony, Amazon is shipping packages in Super Mario Bros. boxes for the month of November.

Even amongst the slew of Black Friday-related offers, Amazon stands out due to its deep discounts and large overall selection. This should likely generate some positive press for the e-commerce giant, which is in in dire need of some after the recent announcement that some Xbox Series X pre-orders may be delayed to as late as December 31.

One glaring detail about Amazon’s sale, however, is that the games on sale are almost entirely physical copies. This excludes all-digital console owners from taking advantage of the sale. Although, this may not be such a big deal to players, especially in Microsoft’s case. A recent announcement from Xbox confirms that at least 70% of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S owners are also Game Pass subscribers. Xbox’s subscription service recently added EA Play games to its roster, and already has several Game Pass games optimized for its next-gen consoles. Still though, for many there is nothing quite like owning physical media.

Amazon‘s buy 2, get 1 free sale is going on now.
