Walmart Will Have PS5 and Xbox Series X Consoles in Stock Tomorrow

The release of the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S has caused quite the upset, not just in terms of the gaming and tech industries, but the general consumer market as well. While the high demand for the consoles is surely appreciated, it’s causing retail outlets like Walmart to constantly be out of stock. Now, it seems Walmart will have more units available earlier than most may have initially anticipated.

Ever since the launch date of either respective console arrived, many have been struggling to get their hands on either a PS5 or a Xbox Series X using Walmart as a means to do so. In fact, Walmart’s official website crashed due to the sheer volume of orders for the PS5. Although, the company will have both consoles back in stock as early as tomorrow.

Walmart has officially revealed that both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X will be available for online purchase tomorrow, November 19, at 12pm PT/3pm ET. This might come as a surprise to many, considering that it was announced that both the PS5 and the Series X/S would be available on Black Friday. It seems that Walmart is confident that units will still be available during Black Friday.

Many in the gaming community will certainly breathe a sigh of relief in terms of this news. Given the issues that Walmart has had with pre-orders in the past, now that both consoles are actually released, it seems like things are much easier to manage. Then again, this sort of produces an important question that consumers should ask themselves.

When exactly will the demand for the next-gen consoles die down enough for consumers to purchase one without worry or concern for retail outlets running out of stock? It’s still too early to tell, considering that it’s been eight days since the launch of the Xbox Series X and less than a week since the launch of the PS5, but nevertheless, the demand is still incredibly high.

Though, in a way, the high demand for both consoles makes a lot of sense. December is less than a week away and with it comes an enormous amount of holiday shopping. There will certainly be plenty of people looking to purchase a PS5 or an Xbox Series X for a loved one, so incredibly high demand is certainly not unwarranted. Hopefully, by the time 2021 rolls around, the demand for both systems will not be as high.

Both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S are available now.
