Nintendo Opens Its Own Animal Crossing: New Horizons Island for Dream Visits

There is plenty players can do in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to personalize their islands, and when they feel their islands are as good as can get, they can post their Dream Address so others can visit and see their handiwork. As it turns out, Nintendo has made a Dream Island of its own in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, sharing the code online for interested fans.

While players have already been busy filling up the extra storage space added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Nintendo seems to have been putting the finishing touches on its official Dream Island design. The island itself is gorgeous based on the images shared, seeing a fair bit of thought put into making everything look neat and tidy. As it turns out, the island even includes a reference to one of Nintendo’s biggest franchises.

With Animal Crossing: New HorizonsSuper Mario content still months away, Nintendo decided to reference a different series on this special Dream Island. As discovered by Twitter user chuuballoon, a Rupee from The Legend of Zelda can be found hidden within a pumpkin patch. As of now, this is the only easter egg players have discovered on the island, but there could certainly be more spread throughout Nintendo’s official Animal Crossing hideaway. For villagers, fan favorites like Phoebe and Marshall can be found roaming Nintendo’s island.

The code to get into Nintendo’s island is DA-6382-1459-4417.

Alongside the release of Nintendo’s official island, the entire Dream Island system received an update as well. While a previous Dream Island update fixed issues players had with crashing, this patch sees a new feature added to the Dream Suite. From now on, players can ask Luna to send them to a random Dream Island, an addition that should give players plenty more freedom and tons of variety when exploring other players’ Animal Crossing islands.

Whether players are diving into a random island or searching through the virtual home of Nintendo, they should be able to kill the time until the massive Winter update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons arrives. With snow, holiday decorations, a new NPC, and more craftable items, the upcoming update will be filled with content for players to keep busy with. Before long, Dream Islands will be covered in bundled-up villagers and snowmen, giving a new feel to the constantly changing experience that is Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

With Animal Crossing: New Horizons getting nominations at The Game Awards 2020, including one for Game of the Year, exploring the Nintendo Island seems like the perfect way to celebrate.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
