Call of Duty: Warzone Infinite Stim Glitch Comes Back, Gets Fixed Immediately

Call of Duty: Warzone is a big game, and it is hard not to expect the occasional bug or exploit to be discovered here and there. However, for a brief period earlier this week, the most overpowered Call of Duty: Warzone glitch ever made a return.

Back in early October, Call of Duty: Warzone’s infinite stim glitch was ruining games of the battle royale. The terribly overpowered exploit allowed players to use an endless amount of stims as opposed to the usual max of two, which not only gave players the edge in a gunfight, but essentially made them immune to the storm. By utilizing infinite stims, a cheater could wait out of the map for everyone else to die, constantly healing through the storm damage.

Sadly, Warzone’s infinite stim glitch returned a few days back, allowing players to secure more cheap wins. Redditor MarleyThirteen posted a clip of the exploit being used, with a cheater healing on a rooftop while being deep in the storm. Spectating after death, MarleyThirteen caught a bird’s-eye view of the cheater in the act, with the player nervously moving around their rooftop until they secured the cheap victory. Before long, the infinite stim glitch began to cause a stir in the Warzone community once again.

Call of Duty: Warzone players quickly approached Infinity Ward about the issue, and the developer instantly responded. Rather than the studio promising a future patch, it immediately released a hotfix for the stim exploit. While it is great to see Infinity Ward react so quickly to the frustrating bug’s return, it is a bit bothersome that the stim glitch has made so many returns despite apparent fixes.

Why the glitch keeps rearing its ugly head in Call of Duty: Warzone is unclear, though some players believe Infinity Ward should just remove the equipment since “no one really uses it” and none of the fixes seem to be sticking. At the very least, at least the infinite stim glitch’s reign of terror in Call of Duty: Warzone season 6 was a short one.

Hopefully, the glitch does not return a fifth, as Infinity Ward will be busy enough with Call of Duty: Warzone’s Black Ops Cold War integration. For now, at least, Warzone lobbies are safe from the returning threat of the stim glitch.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PlayStation4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
