This Xbox Necklace is Super Expensive | Game Rant

It’s no secret that Microsoft’s newest console, the Xbox Series X, has been extremely hard to come by since it released on November 10. This has been due to a severely limited stock at most major retailers, as well as scalpers scooping up as many consoles as they can in an attempt to sell them for a major profit. And while these scalped Xbox’s are quite pricy, they don’t even come close to how expensive a new Xbox necklace is going for online.

It was recently announced that Xbox is collaborating with popular jewelry designer King Ice for an Xbox line of jewelry. While most of the necklaces and rings in this collection will run players between $110 to $200, the main attraction is a solid gold necklace with the spherical Xbox logo introduced with the Xbox 360 for a total of $10,000. The necklace is 14k gold and is inlayed with SI1 diamonds and genuine emeralds.

Xbox fans with that kind of extra cash sitting around may want to consider ordering their Xbox necklace sooner rather than later. According to the King Ice website, there is only one more in stock and the piece is made to order. And with production taking 4-6 weeks, it seems like an Xbox necklace might arrive at the same time or sooner than an Xbox Series X from some retailers.

This isn’t King Ice’s first collaboration in the world of video games. Fans of PlayStation will be happy to know that King Ice has a line of PlayStation jewelry, with necklaces that feature classic PlayStation imagery like Kratos from God of War and the PS1 logo. However, the most expensive item in this line, a 14k gold PS4 controller necklace, will only set players back $4,700; just under half of what this new Xbox necklace will cost.

Expensive jewelry and gaming have gone hand in hand for a while now. Back in June, players were introduced to a new line of fancy Kirby rings by jeweler U Treasure. These rings ranged from 8800 yen ($82 USD) to 39,600 yen ($366 USD) and came in silver, rose gold, and gold. Not only that, but players had an option to order engagement rings that were modeled after the Fountain of Dreams for over $3000 USD.

Fans that want to show off their love for a series or console don’t need to break the bank, however. Many fans have taken to creating items like custom controllers or fan art. At the end of the day, it doesn’t seem to matter if players spend big for their flair or create it themselves; gaming is for everyone.
