One of the very first zones that players will explore during their time with World of Warcraft‘s brand-new Shadowlands expansion is called Bastion. While in this zone, fans may come across an area called the Garden of Respite, which was a place for meditation before it was overrun by anima-starved creatures. The Cloudfeather Guardian, a rare enemy in Shadowlands, has also invaded this once-tranquil area, but some players may be confused about exactly how to fight it.
To put things simply, World of Warcraft players that want to go head-to-head with the Cloudfeather Guardian rare in Shadowlands should start by eliminating the Anima-Starved Wyrms that are flying around it. Indeed, after doing this for some time, the rare mob will land, and it will be attackable as soon as it has reached the ground. Fans will then be free to dispatch the creature at their leisure, and those that come out on top will receive some rewards for their efforts.
With respect to what those rewards are, the Golden Cloudfeather may be the most exciting drop from this rare, as it allows players to summon a new WoW Battle Pet. The Cloudfeather Guardian will also drop Elysian Feathers in some quantity, and those can be used to craft a variety of different Charms, Lures, and more. Notably, this Shadowlands reagent is only available to players that have selected the Kyrian Covenant, and it can be obtained from other sources as well.
Loot is not the only reason that a fan might want to eliminate the Cloudfeather Guardian, though, as completing this special encounter is also a requirement for earning the Adventurer of Bastion achievement. Moreover, World of Warcraft players must complete Adventurer of Bastion if they hope to earn the Bastion Bested and Explorer of the Shadowlands achievements. As such, fans that are achievement hunting in Shadowlands should not pass up on the opportunity to fight the Cloudfeather Guardian when it arises.
One last thing to mention is that there are a couple of quests to complete in the area that the Cloudfeather Guardian calls home. While these quests will obviously not get a player to Shadowlands’ level cap by themselves, the bit of XP that they offer will certainly be appreciated. Additionally, there is gear among the rewards for these quests, giving fans some additional incentive to make the trip to the Garden of Respite and return it to a peaceful state.
World of Warcraft is available now for PC.
