Monster Hunter Rise is the next mainline Monster Hunter installment coming to Nintendo Switch next year. Despite Capcom’s president confirming that Monster Hunter Rise was impacted by COVID-19, the game is still currently on track to launch on March 26 of next year.
While players probably won’t get too many more concrete details surrounding the game for a bit, Capcom is slowly dripping out bits of information surrounding the game’s systems. Recently, the official Monster Hunter Twitter account put out a video showcasing Monster Hunter Rise’s Great Izuchi armor set for both the player character and palamute companion.
Each Monster Hunter title comes with a handful of brand new monster for players to hunt down and track over the course of the game. Naturally, the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise title for Nintendo Switch is no exception to that series staple. One of Monster Hunter Rise’s new monsters is called the Great Izuchi, which is a bird-like dinosaur creature that is covered in bright orange and white fur. Now, the official Monster Hunter Twitter account has shown what the Great Izuchi amor set will look like in Monster Hunter Rise.
The armor set looks very slick, with bright orange fur tapering off to sleek white accents across the set. Alongside accents for player’s weapons and gauntlets, Monster Hunter Rise’s palamute companions also able to get decked out in their own set of Great Izuchi armor. Of course, Palico companions also get the chance to don their own set of Great Izuchi armor, complete with a dangerous, serrated sickle weapon. If Monster Hunter Rise’s other new armor sets live up to the style of the Great Izuchi set, fans are in for quite the treat when the game launches later next year.
Monster Hunter Rise will release on Nintendo Switch on March 26th 2021.
