Fortnite is quickly approaching a period of transition. Before the next theme, leaked as Star Wars/Mandalorian, hits the game, players are scrambling to get XP.
The XP Xtravaganza event going on in Fortnite is helping players get the XP they need to close out the season. Each week, new challenges are added. This is nothing new, but some of the challenges require more than running and gunning. Such is the case for one of this week’s challenges: driving a semi-truck into Upstate New York and to Stark Industries. Here’s how to do it.
Unlike previous Xtravaganza events that involved destroying robots, this one is just a delivery job. Just like the robots however, players will have to find the semi in question first. Looking at the map, aim for the South-Eastern border of Upstate New York. There’s a bridge near the land mass, right at its edge and directly West along the road from Dirty Docks. The Semi-Truck is sitting on the bridge, facing Upstate New York.
Finding the Semi-Truck is only the first step of course. The real problem is how to get it to Stark Industries. Upstate New York is, rather oddly, elevated above the rest of the Fortnite map, sitting atop a massive, mostly circular cliff face. While some might think this may involve the debut of the leaked launch pads, the answer is actually much simpler.
Turn the truck around 180 degrees, drive off the bridge and turn left. Follow the wall of Upstate New York until you come to a hill. This hill acts as a natural ramp to Upstate New York, allowing players to get to the landmass on foot or, in this case, with wheels. Be careful driving up, as there are some tricky areas. A single slip will send player and truck tumbling down and likely destroy the Semi, making the challenge impossible.
After the hill it’s relatively smooth sailing to the Stark Industries parking lot. Just keep an eye out during the entire drive. Other players will want to get the Semi to Stark Industries as well, so there’s a real chance the landing zone and route there will be hot spots. Everyone wants as much XP as they can get before the possible black hole event, so stay frosty.
That’s it. Get out there and start driving. After all, this will be one of the last chances to experience Fortnite as it is now, before the Fortnite Crew Subscription goes live.
