Cyberpunk 2077 is merely two weeks away from release after the game suffered several delays this year. It is worth noting that while rumors recently surfaced that the game will once again be delayed, CD Projekt Red denied the rumors and re-confirmed the game’s target release date of December 10.
Last week, several retailers offered a discount on Cyberpunk 2077’s pre-order as part of their Black Friday deals. Luckily for those who missed out on last week’s discount, major retailers are still offering savings for Cyberpunk 2077 as part of their early Cyber Monday deals. Of course, given that the game is set to release in a few weeks, players interested in getting Cyberpunk 2077 should pre-order now before it reverts to its original price.
At the moment, Amazon and Walmart are offering 17% off on Cyberpunk 2077’s pre-order, which reduces the game’s price from $59.99 to $49.94. While the discount may not be huge, it is worth noting that Amazon and Walmart’s early Cyber Monday deals are currently the lowest prices for the game. Additionally, CD Projekt Red will also offer players who will purchase current-generation versions of Cyberpunk 2077 a free upgrade once its next-gen counterparts are released sometime in 2021. It is worth noting that players on the PS5 and Xbox Series X will still be able to play Cyberpunk 2077 at launch via backward compatibility.
Despite its numerous delays, it appears that players are still excited for the release of Cyberpunk 2077, especially after all the gameplay features that CD Projekt Red has teased since its announcement. Apart from an extensive character customization option, Cyberpunk 2077 will also feature exciting elements such as a vast selection of cars that players can use to navigate around Night City. The game will also feature an advanced lip-sync technology that allows multiple languages to have their own facial animations, helping immerse players in its futuristic setting.
Given that Cyberpunk 2077 is rated M for Mature by the ESRB, the game will heavily feature adult-themes, which will also be implemented in the game’s romance feature. According to several news outlets, Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a traditional relationship progression system. Still, due to the nature of Night City, players should expect some explicit content in the upcoming game. But for players who may not want to see or experience these mature scenarios, CD Projekt Red confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 would have an in-game setting that will turn off any nudity in the game, which is also a helpful feature for streamers who are worried about what the game could show during their live streams.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on December 10 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions releasing in 2021.
