Monster Hunter Rise’s Monsters May Have Been Leaked | Game Rant

Monster Hunter Rise is set to release in just a few months, but there is still a lot about the exciting Nintendo Switch exclusive that is not yet known. Some info about Monster Hunter Rise may have been leaked, however, and this important bit has to do with the monsters of the game.

Earlier this month there was a massive Capcom leak that seems to have shown what the developer/publisher’s short and long-term plans are over. In continuing to look through those files, one Twitter user seems to have found out some exciting information about Monster Hunter Rise.

In any and all Monster Hunter games, one of the most important aspects is the monster list. Fans want to know which monsters they will be trying to take down in their epic action-adventure. If the datamined information from the Capcom leak is to be trusted, there will be quite a few exciting fan-favorites returning to Monster Hunter Rise, and even a few brand new ones.

The list so far is impressive, but it’s important to note that it should be taken with a grain of salt for now. @AsteriskAmpersand’s leaked list includes one monster, Mizutsune, that was apparently already supposed to be shared via an announcement. But with some of Monster Hunter Rise already being impacted by COVID-19, it wouldn’t be a surprise if monster reveals were also pushed back. The full list in the leak is as follows:

Mizutsune

Lagombi

Khezu

Barioth

Kulu Ya-Ku

Tigrex

Rathalos

Anjanath

Barroth

Rajang

Chameleos

Valstrax

Yorogumo (new monster)

A “weasel” (new monster)

“Namahage bear” (new monster)

The Monster Hunter Rise reveal was one that was very exciting. Along with being a Nintendo Switch exclusive, the vertically of the game looks like it could revolutionize the way it is played in many ways. But while riding dogs/wolves and swinging through the trees is exciting, for many fans, the bottom line is that the monsters in the game have to be well designed and fun to fight. It will be interesting to see if the creatures from this leak truly end up in the game, and if any possible new ones become fan-favorites.

Along with this monster list from Monster Hunter Rise rumor, the huge Capcom leak also included a new Monster Hunter title being on the way, which is exciting given the fact that the Switch alone has two Monster Hunter titles in development. The series has long had success in Japan and on mobile devices (PSP and Nintendo 3DS), but it looks like the franchise really took off with Monster Hunter World. The games are one of Capcom’s biggest now, so fans can likely look forward to new content and games for quite some time.

Monster Hunter Rise will be available on Nintendo Switch March 26, 2021.
