Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is nearly approaching its first month, and players are still discovering many of the game’s wonders. Upon exploring the game, most players would probably notice its vast open-world environment and intricate details that helped Assassin’s Creed Valhalla receive a positive reception from players and critics. But despite all the features that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla offers, it appears that eagle-eyed players have since discovered something horrific about the game.
In a Reddit post, one Assassin’s Creed Valhalla player noticed the eerie design of some of the children in the game. While most of them are normal-looking, a select few appear to have been either designed badly or are suffering from a unique glitch. The Redditor and other players observed some children with weird facial hair, and one particular child is even able to turn his head backward. Additionally, some players were creeped out with children who appear to stare into the player’s soul, while others appear to suffer from a unique glitch that makes them taller than Eivor.
At the moment, it is unclear whether Ubisoft is already aware of these weird-looking children, but the studio will likely patch a redesign soon. It is worth noting that this is not the only known glitch in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Shortly after the game’s release, many reported an error that corrupts their save files. Unfortunately for those who encountered this bug, the only solution that the game currently provides is to delete the save file altogether, forcing players to start their playthrough from the beginning.
According to Ubisoft, the studio is already aware of the issue and is currently working hard to develop a fix. While it did not specify an exact release date on when the corrupted save file issue will be resolved, Ubisoft said last week that a patch would be rolled out into the game “in the coming weeks.” Apart from the save file issue, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players are also encountering an error on in-game trophies.
Based on player reports, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is unable to transfer their trophies from the PS4 to the PS5, which is obviously problematic for players who are working on collecting every single milestone the game offers. Luckily, Ubisoft has already addressed the issue in its update 1.0.4, given that players who have downloaded the patch are now seeing their trophies on the next-gen console. It is unclear whether this glitch is isolated to the PS4 and PS5, but it is worth noting that there have been no reports of Xbox players encountering the trophy glitch.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
