The new Humble ‘Explore and Expand’ Bundle contains nine out-of-this-world games for just $10.
This month the emphasis is on strategy and conquest, with the entry-level price ($1) netting you retro space RPG Hayclon 6, dystopian adventure Rain of Reflections, and civilizational simulator Sins of a Solar Empire. Tier two unlocks five more: four games from the Galactic Civilisations III series, plus spaceship battler Starpoint Gemini Warlords.
Stellaris as the top prize for those willing to pay the max entry fee. Released in 2016, this grand strategy game normally costs $40, and comes with a shiny ‘recommended’ stamp from Eurogamer. It’s also clearly a labour of love from Paradox Interactive, having been continually updated for the past four years. The most recent pack, titled Necroids, introduced alien zombies into the mix. Fun!
In short, if you’re looking to spread democracy / impose brutal subjugation / convert the unwashed masses to the glory of your God, many times over and in lots of different shiny spaceships, this is the bundle for you
As usual, Humble have teamed up with a good cause – in this case the American Red Cross, whose work includes disaster relief and blood donation programmes. Proceeds go to them plus a charity of your own, chosen from the ranks of Humble’s many hundreds of partners.
