Dungeons and Dragons Destiny Conversion Reaches Version 1.0

It isn’t an internet rule yet, but it may as well be. If it exists, there’s probably someone working on a Dungeons and Dragons conversion for it (Just look at the playable 5e Fall Guys race). Naturally, Destiny is no exception to that rule, and the ambitious D&Destiny project has finally reached version 1.0. The creators make it a point to say that this isn’t the end of that journey, though.

Destiny is still managing to enrapture fans even six years after its initial release. Now that Destiny 2 is out and the story and lore are continuing to expand, fans can’t seem to get enough. It’s no surprise then that some die hard Destiny enthusiasts want to take the action to their tabletop games as well.

D&Destiny has been in the works for some time now, but this development marks the first time the creators felt comfortable calling their Player’s Guidebook 100% complete. Here’s everything players can expect to find within the free guidebook.

First and foremost, the Player’s Guidebook features nine new character classes, each drawing inspiration from one of the Guardian Subclasses in both Destiny and Destiny 2Players can choose between Gunslinger, Bladedancer, Nightstalker, Striker, Defender, Sunbreaker, Voidwalker, Sunsinger, and Stormcaller to represent their character. The three races of Humanity, Awoken, Exo, and Human, are also included, but D&Destiny takes things a step further and includes five alien races as well, those being Cabal, Eliksni, Krill, Psion, and Vex. There’s a new equipment section featuring firearms and other Destiny staples like jumpships, as well as a host of new mechanics to explain certain Destiny phenomenon (resurrection, light abilities, etc.)

This massive undertaking doesn’t stop here, though, as D&Destiny also outlines its plans for further updates. Aside from the Player’s Guidebook, there are two other books in the works as well. The Architect’s Guide will feature Destiny lore explanations, exotic items, and new mechanics, while the Bestiary of the Wilds will give potential DMs some enemies and other creatures to use in their campaigns. Both of these books are said to be more than halfway completed, but it may still be some time before their 1.0 versions release.

There will also be updates to the Player’s Guidebook as well, with plans to add Stasis classes for each type of Guardian to the list of playable classes. What’s more, all of this is available for players to use free of charge, simply check out the Reddit post above for links to the Player’s Guidebook and other resources.

D&Destiny is available now for free online.
