Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Every New Bug for December 2020

Fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons know that each new month brings with it a variety of new content, from holidays to weather to bugs and fish. This guide will show you what new bugs have been added for the month of December and where you can find them.

Animal Crossing players in the Northern Hemisphere won’t have too much added to their plate if they have caught all the bugs up until this point. Only three new bugs have been added this month and two of them were available earlier in the year, so anyone who has been dutifully collecting bugs in the Northern Hemisphere since the game’s launch will only have one bug to add to their collection this month. This should be a fairly relaxing month for players in the Northern Hemisphere given the number of fish added to New Horizons this month was also on the small side.

Southern Hemisphere players have six new bugs to catch this month. Two of these new bugs are great money makers that players will want to watch out for if they’re not already rolling in bells by this point in the New Horizon‘s life cycle. Without further ado though, here are the new bugs players should be watching out for this month:

That’s all that’s been added in terms of bugs to the game this month. Southern Hemisphere players should be aware however that several bugs will be leaving come January though. Those bugs are the common butterfly, yellow butterfly, peacock butterfly, firefly, ladybug, violin beetle, pill bug, and centipede. These bugs should be a priority to anyone trying to complete their collection in New Horizons. Northern Hemisphere players will not have to worry, though, as no bugs will be leaving in the next month.

Players looking to make money off these new bugs will want to focus on snagging the emperor butterflies, as both are newly available this month for players all over the world. Players in the Southern Hemisphere, however, can make even more bells by focusing on goliath beetles, rare though they are. Any new players will also want to take note of New Horizon’s new special character Flick, who will buy bugs off of them for 50% more than their listed price. Happy catching!
