New Cyberpunk 2077 Trailer is All About Photo Mode | Game Rant

Cyberpunk 2077 fans that have been waiting to enter Night City will surely want to take the time to appreciate their surroundings when the game arrives, and it seems CD Projekt Red has them covered. Like many other big single-player titles, Cyberpunk 2077 is set to feature a detailed photo mode, with a new trailer just released to show it off.

The latest trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 details the game’s photo mode, showing off every option players have at their disposal when it comes to taking in-game screenshots. Everything players could want from a photo mode seems to be present within the Cyberpunk 2077 version, as effects range from exposure and contrast to film grain and highlights. Like the photo mode in PlayStation’s Spider-Man games, stickers will be available as well as numerous photo frames.

A deep set of camera options are also available in the photo mode, with players having full control of the camera’s Field of View and Depth of Field settings. As seen in some of the most detailed video game photo modes, players can change V’s facial expression as well as positioning in the image. Just as CD Projekt Red had previously stated, there are numerous photo mode poses for V, such as one that sees the character wielding a Katana and another that may look familiar to Dark Souls fans.

Hardcore Dark Souls fans and YouTubers filled the comments section with “Praise The Sun” posts, as one of the poses seen in Cyberpunk 2077’s photo mode has V mimicking the iconic Souls character Solaire. Solaire is known for a pose where he raises his arms in the air, and CD Projekt Red includes that in the photo mode. Shown prominently in the trailer and named “V for Victory,” the pose quickly caught the eye of FromSoftware fans.

While it is unclear if the pose is intentionally meant to be a Dark Souls Easter egg, fans will surely treat it as such when the game releases. With poses included alongside other features in this photo mode, CD Projekt Red seems to have put a lot of effort into it. Though photo modes like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s will be getting updated throughout the game’s life, this Cyberpunk 2077 photo mode seems to be the complete package from day one, offering dozens of options for players that enjoy partaking in in-game photography.

With the Cyberpunk 2077 community reaching a new level of hype due to the game’s imminent release, this trailer comes at the perfect time. Before long, players will be exploring Night City — and maybe even stopping every so often to praise the sun.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on December 10 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions releasing in 2021.
